That’s one way to get the lifeguard’s attention.

In my summer as lifeguard I remember bugs, sunburn, and old fat bathing beauties asking me to put oil on them.

Before it was “improved” I could get Luann emailed to me. It’s the only comic I follow explicitly. I am being sent other comics/editorial cartoons via email from the new GoComics but getting a daily email from Luann is not an option. What’s the problem?

Marcus, they send you one of whatever number you put on your “my comics” page. Try doing a page with just Luann- that should work (but they always also give one random one-2nd).

I can so relate to Luann on this one! Whenever I flirt I usually end up getting hurt – not emotionally but physically. There was the time with the futile volleyball dive that ended with me in the thorn bushes. Then there was the time I fell down a gang plank from flirting with some sailors. Then there… well you get the idea.

Marcus, I agree, this “improvement” isn’t much of one…

Wow, a rare six panel sequential strip! I like it!

This strip reminds me of an odd “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” reference in the Family Guy direct-to-DVD movie. Stewie, having returned to his own time, had to run home before his family arrived, like Ferris did. He runs thru backyards and houses and comes across two girls sunbathing. Just like in the movie, he goes back to introduce himself. In the animation, the girls were dead-ringers for Luann and Bernice. If you ever see it, look for that scene.

Quill does not seem to have closed the door to Luann’s roving eye! It would be nice to have the lifeguard appear and compete with Quill — but this is Sunday, so it is not part of any arc.

Delta is not there much, since she doesn’t need a tan. But best to stay in the shade for these pinkies..
