Brevity has officially jumped the shark.

….. Okay, I admit I’m a little impressed on this.

Aww, c’mon, it was cute, if not thigh-slappingly funny. The joke was that it took five days to tell because there were ‘Slow Children At Play’. Maybe it wasn’t the best use of the format, but at least it’s distinctive and original to Brevity.

Bwahahahaha!!! Totally worth the wait! I thought it would be lame like the time when they had a strip about the bench that wouldn’t end, but this one was totally hilarious!

Ok, maybe I’m just easy to amuse, but it made ME laugh out loud.I didn’t take it that the kids were slow, though that’s the joke I usually make about that sign (yeah yeah, I’m pretty predictable.)I took it that Guy and rOdd were merely obeying the warning…. and slowing down the strip while the children were playing. LOL

Well, Well, nay-sayers. There WAS a funny joke after all!

(I hope one day to own a race horse just so I can name it “Neigh-sayer”)

Slow children……………………………..at play. That has been a joke for me for 20 years.

This would be funny to me if G&R hadn’t spent 4 days wasting my time. But since the last time they did a sequence it lasted 7 days, are we sure this is all there is?

It takes a lot of guts to do this. The anticipation creates an impossible expectation. This series reminds me of LOST.

Guy and Rodd should have done this as a four panel comic. This wasn’t exactly brevity.

Better to illustrate this sign than the sign Stop Ahead (a head).

I am having trouble getting into parts of Gocomics this AM so don’t know if others have already said it but:it was worth the wait, G&R…. these signs always made me scratch my head; felt bad for the slow kids and the blind people crossing and the bear left (for hunters) always seemed to lead to a dead end…..☻

Slow cartoonists at work?Seriously, I enjoyed it, but I think I need help getting Carly Simon’s voice outta my head.

I like it! I say if you want an easy laugh a day, go read “Blondie”. Comics like Brevity make you earn your humor.

Of course red squirrels drive slowly, they can’t reach the gas pedal!

So how the hell are you supposed to know how fast or slow they were moving?? Each panel is a moment in time, but you don’t know how much time has passed from one to the next! If there had been something else in view that had been moving fast by comparison, then it would have worked.

I figured it took them that many days to move :) Yeah, not the best, but kinda funny.

Oh, now I get it!

Anyone who thought this was funny and worth the wait probably enjoys Marmaduke and Family Circus too. I’m removing this strip from my page.
