My kids made out like bandits also, over 150 pieces each (they had to count them last night :-)). We stayed out later than usual, but they’re only young once, right? I totally remember staying out late running around getting those last pieces of candy. Good times…
There are doctors who smoke cigarettes and dentists who eat Milk Duds. To quote Rich Mullins song Brother’s Keeper, ‘My friends ain’t the way I wish they were; they are just the way they are.’
I tried multiple times to change my avatar today to reflect that Halloween is now over and Thanksgiving will soon be upon us but no matter how hard I tried, every image I selected gave me an “error failure” message (and yes, I made sure every single image was under 2 mb as the site instructed). Anyone else having this problem today or is it just me and my computer stupidness is acting up again? Thanks!
The last time I ate Milk Duds, they nearly pulled out my fillings from my teeth! Doesn’t John know that as a dentist? I remember giving my dad all my Clark bars out of my sack. That was his favorite candy bar since it was made in Pittsburgh.
As an aside, when in junior high school, a friend gave me some kind of green apple-flavored candy, during a class, which I thought was not only going to yank a filling, but possibly the entire tooth. Never had that again.

Mind, that man is a dentist! Does he not know what Milk Duds do to dental work?

Yeh, I used to grab all my kids’ shelled peanuts…

And he calls himself a dentist?

well, more work for him! I don’t mind that aspect, even dentist’s kids can sometimes enjoy sweets, if they take care to brush afterwards.
Calling the kid a fool (even in his thoughts) instead of thanking him for his generosity, though…

Lynn’s husband had the sweetest tooth in the family … which is probably why he became a dentist – free dentures for life!.Morning Neighbours!

I hate Milk Duds. Give me Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and M&M’s any day of the week and I’m in absolute heaven!

This is the first indication I’ve seen of Michael’s generosity, something that figures prominently in later strips.
