You have to wonder if any sport pro would still play if there was a flat amount that they made, bonus’ only if playoff’s are made, and a set cap on that too. Endorsements as only side business but caps on how much could be made there too. Highly doubtful many would play.

Oh, they would play! What else are they qualified for? You think they would even consider working for what the rest of us make?

Joe and Ruthie need a referee — there should be a flag on that play! (Unnecessary strangulation…)

Also depends on post career health care. A lot of players are so knackered when they retire it takes them half an hour to get out of bed due to the pain.

It’s like I always say: If you could get people to pay to come and watch you do your job, you could get paid the big bucks too. ; – )

Joe won’t be allowed to go for treating Ruthie like a team mate.

Yeah, I’m part owner of the Packers. My one lonely share. At least I get tickets to the annual meeting.

I’m always amused that people complain about athletes salaries. Yet you rarely hear anyone complain about the money made by the people who sign the paychecks of the athletes. You know. The ones that charge $10 for a beer. $200 for a ticket. $10,000 for the right to buy a ticket. The true 1%’ers.

I would never go to see any sports unless my own children/grandkids were on the field. My oldest boy (now over 50) is competing in high jumps after brushing up while coaching one of his sons). My 2nd oldest often does crazy things for charity (repelling down a building and polar swimming etc). I’d rather see that.
