Andy: You got a "D" on your physics test?! Peter: It's not my fault! Jason was telling me about this guy who figured out it takes 10,000 hours of practice in order to be really good at anything. School just started a few weeks ago. I've only been doing physics for like 30 hours. Andy: Peter, even at the end of the year you won't have 10,000 hours! Peter: I know. So don't expect super-good grades. Jason: You forgot that Mom has over 10,000 hours of practice seeing through your bull. Peter: Life was so easy as a baby.

YOU run for president and I’ll vote for you. Then you’ll eat those words in WAY less than 10,000 hours.

folks wanna go there? early this morning ten years ago today, a major concern of the congress was whether or not we might be paying down the debt “too fast.” thank you cheney/bush for removing that problem for the next couple of decades.

Hey, cool it. This is a comic strip, not a political debate forum. If you wanna bite each other’s heads off go somewhere else. This is a comic strip, so you can go ahead and make comments about the comic. Political opinions have no place here, people.

I was never good at algebra or calculus but did very well in physics. Perhaps it’s because I can think spatially- I just don’t comment on politics usually because everyone has their own opiniions…

The 10,000-hour rule is one of many I can’t take seriously because of the round number. It has “layman” written all over it.

Of course you have to factor out weekends, holidays and school breaks and absences as they occur,so the answer to the formula isn’t cut and dried.
