“Ain’t that a kick in the head?” This is sick. I know it’s only a comic strip; but tragedy is not funny, when the subject represents human instigated violence, resulting in death.
I’m thinking the strip is referring to the TV commercial for some soda – a woman sees a soda at the soda stand, there’s only one left, and there are a million people in line, the woman sends one tweet “I saw David Beckham at the pier” and everyone stampedes away letting her get her soda … and “poor Charlie Brown” would be under foot. Not tragedy really – silly commercial instead.
Even this old lady who has no interest in sports knows who David Beckham is, but I never heard of Sofia V. Obviously Lucy requested that soccer ball pattern as a joke and buried Charlie up to his neck- but I hope someone will tell Beckham that is a human head to avoid the tragedy
Gaunt, I get into this argument all the time with my Brit friends, granted no pads in rugby, BUT you don’t get hit in rugby as hard as we hit in American Football

As Spock would say, I fail to see the humor in this situation.

Oh David Beckham, I’ll hold this soccer ball and you come running up and try to kick it.

Is it usual for face painters to paint your face like a soccer ball? I’m not up to speed on the whole face-painting thing . . .
