I always wondered how married couples managed to share a bed when one of them was sick. Now I know.

I dunno, I think taking care of someone you love, or being cared for, can feel romantic.

Long term or thankless stuff is wearying, of course, as is a petulant patient, but a little cuddling when someone feels bad is a nice thing.

    On another subject….

You know….. clicking on an avatar takes you to a profile page, which shows the last 10 comments that person made.

If they’re all negative blustering, you know it’s just a sad bid for attention.

So I vote to pay it none.

While this may seem to be some, it’s all in general….not about anyone specific, of course.

Obviously, the one Avatar that continues to harp about this strip has also IGNORED the title of the strip.…“In sickness and in health, FOR BETTER OR FOR WORSE…”

Wow. Looking at the last ten comments an individual has made explains EVERYTHING — except, of course, for why that individual is reading ANY of the strips s/he comments on.

When I was married, I would take my noisey cough and germs off to another room. No sense in making him sick too and noone fit to take care of anyone-and the kids would all get it!

I like that they’re in the same bed..this way, should she need him, he’s right there…Being in the same house, he’s already exposed to the cooties, so why not be there to snuggle & provide some body heat? =D ….We tried sleeping apart when either of us had a cold or cough…and neither one of us slept worth a hoot…So— ‘through sickness & health, through good times & bad’ … <3

For me I’m the one who gets that stuff. Husband just goes to sleep better then I. Just like him I just tolerate. He really gets ill.

My first reaction is how inconsiderate John is being. Yes, Elly isn’t in the best condition to be romantic (which could mean many things). But at least she’s not moaning and complaining in bed, demanding that someone else do things for her. And he could at least offer some sympathy and/or some assistance. The only thing positive is that he didn’t say that comment out loud.

This has been me for the past week! How my husband keeps from catching my yearly colds I don’t know . . . I guess he just has a better immune system than I do.
