All I hear right now are the words Brad himself uttered, “I can handle Ann Eiffel” y’know just before he got himself in over his head. Though I’ll give TJ credit, he’s not as much of a moron as Brad is so maybe he’ll end up fairing better.

I like Brad’s story line better. It looks like it is going somewhere. Luann’s story line needs to grow up a bit.

Brad is right on the mark about TJ. But I look forward to seeing what transpires between Annie Eiffel and him….

I wonder if TJ and her might fall for each other.

She hurt his friends. It is payback time.

Luann the character will get interesting when Greg actually lets her grow up. The reason we all actually care about Brad is that he has CHANGED and thus, more opportunities for hilarity.

Watch out world, here comes TJ to disrupt the balance of things. I am enjoying Luann very much. Brad is a fine young man, making smart decisions.

For TJ to just go in and exact revege would be too simple. I think Greg is going to throw us a curve, (like he normally does) and have Ann get the upper hand, at least for awhile.

I like the Brad storyline……there is enough material for his own strip.

I have to admit I was worng here. It seems that TJ has emerged from his schemeing unscathed – yet again. Brad and Toni are not that bright. They have only looked at the end result and used that tired platitude, “All is well that ends well.” I that light, all of TJ’s meddling was good and needed, even though Brad’s captain explained that since Brad was due to be called back – regardless. I guess that’s why he is now involved in another scheme. This boy has too much time on his hands.

Obvoiusly Brad did not propose marrige to Toni. Big Dufuss!

Squirch, everyone and everything in a person’s life affects a person. including siblings and their friends. even if they are apart. because the life experience of Brad does affect how they get along, or not.I’m wondering how this bit with tJ will affect Luann if she even eats there during his work time.

TJ needs to brake the dishes and dont pay for them.

TJ has a way of putting his foot in it. I’m sincerely hoping that this is one situation that he will be able to control from start to finish. This has the makings of epic pwnage, and I want to see it.

About all the comments about Luann not really being the focus of her own strip,it’s probably for the best for now. She hasn’t had many interesting storylines in a long while, hopefully she will again but it will take a lot of doing. Back when her problems were based on crushes and body issues it was more relatable. Now Luann’s being written as having things pretty ideal, she has more dudes crushing on her at once than most and she’s getting skills out of nowhere. I think if Luann were to regain her old status it would take a while to bring her down to the level of an everyteen again..Given the current way things are Tiffany is sort of the new “Old Luann” as in she’s the one with an unrequited crush and has incredibly unlikely aspirations, like Luann used to..And as for Brad, TJ, and Toni and their stories. I think they are really the most interesting after all look at the amount of comments they get. I think it’s because they’re adults and can be put in more risky situations and all.

With Luann’s love interest in Cali, the story line had to go somewhere. Wait till her Aussie gets back, things will get interesting again. By the way, Hooray for TJ.

@ C HQuill hasn’t left yet, so Greg has some time to burn with this plot before Luann starts trying to extract promises from him about not paying attention to Tiffany during the flight.

Do we really know whatT.J. signed? For all we know he signed something that said Brad sexually harassed her! You guys know how T.J. is.

Can Brad and his group have their OWN strip? I like their stories a lot. I even think they have a different audience than Luann’s group and could do really well.

Luann has a lot going on in her stripbut the pacing is really slow. What ever happened to the Tiffany and Oz-boy story?

Too many good characters and GREAT story lines- not enough time for everyone.

And also, we’re consumed with curiosity about Rosa & Gunther. Will Greg use this relationship to bring Gunther out of his geekiness, at least to the extent where he develops more social maturity? I expect that to happen in the New Year after Greg puts the other issues into a holding pattern.

I love the emphasis on Luann’s ‘backstory’ gives the whole comic far more depth and dimension, it also explains some of Luann’s character!TJ and Ann Eiffel.. sounds like the ultimate in love/hate relationships and should be highly interesting!

As usual some don’t like Toni and Brad. Personally, and as the almost certain higher remarks show, Toni is the most popular character in the script. Luann in the conventional sense is dull! Greg, keep up this story line and the Toni/Brad relationship!

TJ won’t cause a fire; he’s not a criminal. I bet he makes life real miserable for Ms. Eiffel because of what she did to his best friend.

TJ & Annie….interesting. I was quite certain TJ would end up at WW. She was so quick to hire TJ though……who has a connection to Brad and I am sure she is still interested in seeing him again and finding a way to do so.

Somehow, a fire might start at WW………with a romantic interest between TJ and Ann…….maybe a real fire erupts at WW somehow…….by TJ? Another employee? Or by Annie herself?

Then Brad to the rescue? I am certain things will get very interesting!

I’m not going to get my hopes up… I myself was quite let down by the anti-climatic plot line between Brad, Toni, Anne E, and TJ… for a month or more there were several Luann fans, myself included, conjecturing on various possible scenarios that would /could have elevate this storyline to a huge climatic and twisted finish… only to have it all resolved by Toni askin the Chief for Brads job back…. …***fizzle****Sadly disapointed….

You know what would be a totally original idea? No one’s ever mentioned it before….WHAT IF TJ STARTED A FIRE IN WW AND BRAD AND TONI CAME AND PUT IT OUT?? Wouldn’t that be great? How come no one thinks up these things but me?

Probably now that they’ve started this storyline they’ll switch back to Luann or Quill in LA.

If we could get Elwood into this storyline, I would beg for a “most annoying characters” cage match.

“Weenieman TJ???” LOL! It’s good to have an explanation as to WHY TJ applied for that job in the first place. Looks like he’s only doing it to annoy The Awful Eyeful rather than trying to gather evidence against her. Still, he might be able to do something that ensures that Ann gets her comeuppance…

I’m liking this Brad storyline. I mean how can you write about a teenager in high school who makes good grades and an all around good girl??? Brad has to deal with things that go on in the REAL WORLD. More I say!!

Ann & TJ start their dance of mutual flirting to set up each other – remember Ann is amused by TJ – TJ wants to one-up Ann to complete his plan of domination. As Brad returns to WW to order chili & curlyfries from TJ, Ann sneaks around the counter to see what’s happenin’ & slips on a grease spot..Ann falls to the floor, bumps her head & passes out. Brad leaps into action with his EMT skills – gives her mouth-to-mouth respiration &Toni arrives to meet up with Brad when Ann regains consciousness…..Too farfetched? Yes… and No.

I’d say Miss Eiffel has met her match,

sarge, I am so with you on breaking out the popcorn. TJ always steps in poopie and comes out smelling like a rose, so I am sure he will get himself into something and rise from the ashes unscathed. I don’t think AnnAwful has ANY idea what she is in for.

What if TJ and Ann as a couple. They are more alike than different. That would make it very interesting and fun.

When did TJ become a person of color?

TJ better be careful with “eyeful” she’s as devious as he is. This should be interesting. I hope he read that paper before he signed it, although I have a feeling he didn’t. I think that TJ will drive her to distraction.

Rejected by Brad, Ann is on the rebound, and with that Dolly Parton body, she is going to get TJ into her office, lock the door, and “fireworks”.

Thanks to whoever gave the link to the 9/21/93 strip. It could explain this primal desire on the part of so many to have TJ burn down WW. That whole arc, the return of TJ, running from 9/20/93 to 10/9/93 is worth reading to put TJ in some context.

I love strips about Luann, but also about all the rest of the gang. Complainers be *&^%$(!!

People keep wanting Greg to do yet another strip, but he has enought to do with this one. I’ll just keep following this (and the comments, but would prefer fewer).

TJ is a swizzle stick… He keeps things stirred up. It’s his job. That is why he was created. Sometimes it’s good. Sometimes bad. Either way it is more interesting.

Just a bit of advice for TJ. There’s a Chinese proverb that says, “Before embarking on a quest for revenge, dig two graves.”

That being said, I suspected a revenge plot was coming. Just couldn’t be sure because TJ’s always wearing that mischievious grin.

Greg said nothing of the kind.

The one thing I regret most is that I chose “LUANN” for the strip’s title…As the name of a comic strip, “Luann” is too slippery, hard to spell, tricky to pronounce and remember." – 11/2/11

People bring it up beause for them it’s a legitimate issue – there are also people who want a spinoff of Brad and Toni and they’ll be doomed to disappointment because at the end of the day Greg’s focus is still Luann. She’s the character he most identifies with, he’s been quite clear about that in numerous interviews. .So to keep on insisting that Greg “regrets” his choice of title because it isn’t a more inclusive one or more representative of the rest of the cast is incorrect – perhaps it’s something you should rethink or “get over”.

Unfortunately, Mr Evans is going to have to return to the Quiffany in LA story arc pretty soon. Too bad, I’m looking forward to the TJ making a monkey out of Ms Eye Full
