    Trickle down economics?

Folks, would like to direct your attention to a song on You Tube-“Trickle down theory’s not workin for me”.In the video is a talented young guy (Greg Dale Holland) playing a guitar and harmonica (solo), explaining the intricacies of trickle down theory , Reep style.A great tune and play it often here.Kinda bluegrass/country. Great stuff. Enjoy!

Love ya, guy. Trickle down is an Obama by-product?The author of the theory was the Reagan right-wing deity. It was a recycled idea from the great American capitalists, circa 1929 who bestowed upon us the Great DepressionRmoney is going to give us unwashed masses more of the same, if elected. He’ll top off that great accomplishment with the repeal of Obamacare.Healthcare for the poor? Are you kidding? This is America, not some socialist hangout.

This place is a welfare state? It’s just that the right hasn’t quite succeeded in totally shredding the safety net for the poor, but give ‘em time, they’re working on it. One must not expect instant gratification.Only socialists are so foolish to believe that the poor shouldn’t be thrown to the wolves. The term socialist is thrown at Obama, but he ain’t close to being a true socialist. What a Godsend that we have such an abundance of cardboard boxes, bridges and abandoned cars in this country for the poor to inhabit while maintaining their lavish lifestyle.

This is what will be happening after tehy get rid of Social Security and Medicare. that’s why they call it the Cat Food Commission/ the Government plant to cut Social Security so the Government can spend our money on Defense.

and Obama cut funding for SS and offeredd SS to the Republicans at the last Budget talks. Obama is no friend of Social Security, Obama is a Blue Dog, a Reaganite. no friend of the Middle Class or Poor. He called Wall St. people “savvy Business men.” lol

Rmoney is of course the Devil incarnate, so choose your poison. quick death or slow death.

Sorry to say that the song which had been saved to “favorites” by me today came up with blank screen and a message “video has been removed by user”. It had been produced almost a year ago, but only came across it recently. Did a You Tube search for the song, but no luck. You Tube search for Greg Holland does produce a large number of other songs by Greg, whose voice seems very close to John Denver to me, and he does his own rendition of John Denver songs that are still available, but unfortunately not the trickle down song.He had caught a lot of flak in the comments section, and wonder if this might have something to do with its removal (plus a couple of colorful words to get his point across) especially since the revival of trickle down policies by the Reeps. It’s a real loss. A great song-_had recorded about 546 views last time seen.

A French Holland (French president Francois Hollande)-something in the name-must all be agitators- , a true socialist, has stirred up a hornet’s nest in France, according to the U.S section of the British Daily Mail online. He’s proposing a top tax rate of 75% on incomes above 700,000 pounds (roughly $1,050,400 U.S. dollars). X,75=$787,800 tax bill. They don’t take too kindly to the capitalist elite in France. Can you imagine the firestorm over here with such a proposal?Guess French fries will now once again be referred to as “freedom fries” here.McDonald’s,Burger king, etc.,take note and be ready to alter your menu boards.

The generation of elderly we now have started their working years when minimum wages and starting wages were extremely low. Factor in those years of low income into the SS system of average income, they now receive lower SS checks to live on, plus they had no extra to invest for the future. This is particularly true of women who could have started working in the ’60s at $1.40 an hour at minimum wage jobs.

Wish your friend all the best, and hope he doesn’ t opt for the extreme way out.A quote from Dylan Ratigan,s book “Greedy Bastards” paraphrased: (p. 1&2)-true story.A guy 60 years old loses his job, can only find work in a convenience store.Develops health problems, can no longer hold this job. His family can’t help to pay for his health care.He goes into the local bank and slips the teller a note demanding 1 dollar-and health care.He realised jail was the one place he could get healthcare without bankrupting himself and his family.Yahoo news reported he was charged with larceny, not bank robbery. He said if his punishment isn’t severe enough, he’ll do it again. $100,000 bond was reduced to $2,000 but says he doesn’t plan to pay it. Jail, he said was the best of his bad options. This is life in our “land of opportunity” 2012. God help us all.

stripseeker: Not only is Obama no socialist, he is no populist either. At least the Socialist Party has a member in the Senate, but he isn’t permitted to give his party identification for fear people will learn the truth. The last populist in the White House (long after the Peoples Party vanished) was Eleanor Roosevelt. Both work for the greatest good for the greatest number in the shortest time, but differ in socialist do it from the top down and populists from the grassroots up. Socialists still use the term, but real populists (update the Cleburn and Ocala Demands and the 1892 Omaha Platform) today are called Greens.

Thanks for your comments. Indeed do think Hollande is a brave man proposing a 75% top tax rate and also true that there is a whole different outlook on accumulating obscene amounts of wealth in France. Their healthcare system is excellent, some details of which were given in Michael Moore’s movie “Sicko”. That is the most powerful documentary ever witnessed by this poster. The main positive with Europeans is their allegiance to universal healthcare and their willingness to pay for it.You, being self-employed, absolutely deserve to enjoy the fruits of your labors without being taxed out of business, and know from your great posts that you believe in fairness for all. You seem a compassionate, thoughtful man who believes that governments were originally instituted to provide for the greatest good of ALL.Sorry about the false alarm on the YouTube video. Had just played it not more than 2 days ago, and now it’s gone.Out of 546 views, had personally accounted for about 50 of those views over about 3 weeks. As for taxes, and all things, Edgar Cayce also spoke of “moderation in all things”. The middle road. Have a good weekend.

But, hey, he’s a hero of the proletariat. FORWARD, suckers!
