I’m pretty darn sure he is setting her up some way somehow… and to agree to those terms the plan is already in motion that it would not affect him.

Nice deal between the two schemers. Nice double entendre in panel 3, too (once had a comparable exchange; don’t think she ever realized what she had said or what I had implied).

A manager is ALWAYS responsible for her business. Sure, she can take the credit for what goes right, but she also has to suffer the consequences for what goes wrong. So TJ mousetraps Ann if this idea tanks – AND he wins Ann’s admiration if it’s a winner.

@Leagleagle from yesterday: (or anyone else that has insight) What I was getting at is that the last panel of this storyline was that he was getting revenge for her treating brad so badly. She Wanted OX to lie and sign the paper saying he saw the kid (I forgot the name) bite her. BTW looks like the finger healed up nice.

Now TJ is brown nosing. Whats up with this?

    Enjoy.

I’ve seen “hidden” jokes in Greg’s strip before. Posters on a wall change what they say, pictures on a desk change from laughing to screaming, things like that. I think he enjoys doing a “where’s waldo” sort of thing. Ann’s dominant hand is probably part of that (no pun intended). :)

I think predicting outcomes is sort of ridiculous, until I get a “bright” idea of my own: The promotion succeeds, Ann takes credit, the bad-taste police come in and hold the promotion up as a corruption of family values, Ann is disgraced with corporate and reassigned to its burgeoning new market in China.

Ann actually admitted that if the idea tanks, she’ll blame TJ, but if it’s a hit, she’s taking full credit. I expected her to DO that, but I didn’t expect her to be so honest about it.

He didn’t actually agree with the fact that if corporate does not like the idea that he would take the fall. He is just acknowledging what she stated. It is going to fail and she is going down. Even if he does take credit for it tanking, she is out of there for not controlling her employees.

Used to be able to email a strip creator with comments. I guess this format has replaced that. So for what it’s worth I want to say this used to be a sweet commentary on a child’s view. Now it’s pretty much like the drivel you see on TV; not that far removed from devolving to 2nhalfmen eventually if it maintains this course, just following the societal trend toward crassness.

Wow – That’s an in-your-face offer from AE. It’s very sexual – why else does she think TJ would agree. This relationship is developing into an S&M “Gone With the Wind.” TJ’s original motive of revenge for firing Brad seems to have faded away.
