This is literally the opposite of a joke. But at least it’s not about old comic books.

We all have reservations about this strip.

Is Pinebrook in fact an actual Indian reservation? If so, it would have been very helpful to have mentioned that somewhere in the first six panels, to set up the knee-slapping punchline in the seventh.

Crank is on the no-rent canoe list.

Ed, does Mary know that your planning on “canoodling” with her instead of canoeing?

I hope they’re as good at keeping the reservations as they are at taking them.

If they show the two of them “canoodling” in the canoe and it capsizes, this will all be worth it.

Unless there’s a missing throwaway panel, poor Pm didn’t get to ask her usual obligatory “What are you doing, Dad”.

Poor Mary. Ever since she learned of Crank’s plans, she’s had to secretly rent all of the canoes every day. And that can’t be cheap.
