Am I dreaming? How many days in a row is it now that Cranky has been allowed in his own ‘toon? And now we get to either watch him get stuck hanging onto the gutter when the ladder falls, or trying to find a VHS player in a second hand store. Let’s hope the store doesn’t have any Funky critters in it…

I know he was canonically illiterate for much of his adult life, but why is Ed talking about Christmas lights when the box he’s looking in is clearly marked “Christmas tapes”?

Also, it’s December 19th, and judging from Panel Two’s exterior shot Christmas light one has yet to be strung at Casa De Crankshaft. Better get a move on, fella.

Lastly, please tell me Ed didn’t uncover one of the videotapes Dead St. Lisa made and left behind for Les and Summer to watch.

I still find CD’s and VHS tapes tucked into boxes and cupboards. Makes me laugh when I’m reminded of the weird tastes I had back then.

Please, please let it be the videotape from The Ring.

Maybe you better run this idea past Pam and Jeff, Ed.

I still have a VCR, but have no idea if it still works. We’ve got some VHS tapes that were converted from our Super 8mm home movies. I didn’t move fast enough, so I converted from one obsolete format to a different obsolete one. I was planning to convert the VHS to DVD, but that might be too late already.

OK, My turn to jump on the nitpick bandwagon. In the first and third panels Ed is standing in front of the chimney where it comes into the attic and then through the roof. Second panel no chimney seen on the house. No it’s not a big deal just something Davis should have thought about if were to show BRICKS to us brickafishionadoes.
