Didn’t a commissioned artist recently turn in an entirely blank canvas, take his money, and run?

The clean lines and smooth planes are very Warholian.

Oh Horace, carve a tall rectangle with a vertical center-line and add two opposing red triangles… call it “Otis”… your accomplishment will be certain to surprise everyone…!

After he retired, my father became a woodcarver of note. When asked how he approached his carving, he said that he just whittled away anything that didn’t look like what he wanted to produce. I loved his sense of humor.

In response to Rodin’s “The Thinker”, Horace has sculpted “The Blockhead”.

Lazy is another word for it. Now bright people can be lazy, and it still isn’t good. We don’t have an infinite life and that’s wasting it.

If a sculpture is outdoors, the bird probably calls it “a toilet”.
