I like this “official” hat and shirt colour better than the weekday one. Mr. Bones has similar skin colour to Blackjack, not so unusual as the weekday person decided to make it. I’m not sure which is best, but I did say that I thought he looked too grey in the weekday ones.
I think there was an actual Little Wingy doll in our world. I’m not sure whether the doll ever appeared in the strip before.
If Bones does have Blackjack’s collection, does that mean he stole it himself? Maybe he doesn’t actually have it. Could be be bluffing, and why? If he does have it, why is he so willing to give it back? Many questions that will hopefully be answered before the end of this story.
No one else has commented on Tracy’s image in the foam of the latte. I WIN!
1-TRAVOLTA: Wanna see a picture of me as a child? BLACKSTRAP MOLLASES: Would I? YOU BET!
2- …Wow. That kind of explains some of the pictures I’ve seen of you smooching guys I guess.
3-TRAVOLTA: Mother always wanted a girl. Now she has a boy and a girl in one!
BLACKSTRAP MOLLASES: Yeah…that’s great…
4-TRAVOLTA: How’d you like to be an extra in my new movie? I’m sure I can convince Ratface to make room for you.
BLACKSTRAP MOLLASES: Ratface is producing a movie? But he’s a criminal!
5-TRAVOLTA: Yeah? You ever hear of award-winning producer, Harvey Weinstein? He’s just one who went a little too far. So?
BLACKSTRAP MOLLASES: I’M IN! BUT, I’ll need my own trailer, masseuse for downtime sensual massages, scones from England and Scarlett Johansen as my girlfriend – in the movie or real life – your choice.
TRAVOLTA: You’ll play the part of my errand boy – in the movie and in real life.
cue the dark ambient music with discordant overtones which, although broadly tonal, is inflected with chromatic and polytonal passages to utter sound in tremulous tones.
Blackjack escaped prison when he found out his collection had been stolen, didn’t he? If I’m remembering that right, then he’s a fugitive, so if Blackjack gives him back his stuff then he’d feel obligated to turn himself in, at which point his stuff would be vulnerable again… and that would explain his nonplussed expression in the last two panels.
That Richard Bonhomme is one slick villain! But like other villains who think they are Smarter Than the Average Human, he may go a step too far. Right now, Blackjack is kind of in shock at learning his beloved DT collection could be his again. But he is also leery of conditions that Mr. Bones may attach to returning it.
If Bones does try to extort Blackjack into some anti-Tracy action or being even an accomplice thereto, we may see the other side of Blackjack. When in action mode, he is not to be trifled with. Don’t overplay your hand, Bonhomme!

I’m thinking Mr Bones wants to have Blackjack kill Tracy….see if Blackjack actually “has a price”…. would he kill his idol to get his collection back, or would he draw the line there?
It wouldn’t surprise me if Blackjack “accepts” and sets up Mr Bones, leading to Blackjack killing Bones in a gunfight to protect Tracy

Blackjack at the library. He’s Tracy’s biggest fan
Collection has been purloined. Blackjack a wanted man.
He’ll set things right and duly fight to take back what he owns
When there appears a hit-man with the moniker of Bones.
Quick to confess he is the thief who pilfered the collection
Delighted to return it now. He’s made a full inspection.
Mr. Bones is cold as ice. He gives good folks the chills
Such a cool customer. He stays calm when he kills.
Who can say how it may play? A killer meets a clown
There’s bound to be tubthumping when Blackjack is around.

Library café
Come and have a drink
Felony or law
we never make a stink
Though the decor is a bore
And the mugs are very plain
You’ll love the brew we make
It put’s the MCU to shame
You should gather up your toys
If excitement’s what you crave
The boredom in this place
Will destroy the bold and brave

I know all about the problem with different colorist for Sunday’s but Blackjacks instant wardrobe change is still astonishing!

Calling boboscar calling boboscar!
Clearly, we are in a new story, if that’s what you want to call it.
Time drone – and its designated villain – are gone.
All that’s left are two Tracy fans, one who has taken on the improbable task of killing Dick Tracy.

Good morning™, deprived collectors !
BJ is positively pwnd. Step into my parlour says the spider to the fly.
I can just see ‘jack going to some shady bower just to become an ex person that Bonsey’s plan can become uncomplicated.

Interesting “flat head” look on Mr. Bones… kind of like a certain movie monster (who shall remain nameless).

Interesting in the Darden Bio that it’s left out that he, as second chair, aided DA Marcia Clark in FUBARRING the OJ case
