So… Mr. Memory was planning to flee, leaving Walter behind, even, and he set B.O. up to cover things up using the computer. That’s pretty “tech’nal” for B.O. Plenty, but I’m sure he could handle it.

Maybe a bomb is set to go off to blow the evidence along with perennial thorn-in-my-side Tracy and all the rest of them who have seen me. I’m Fr-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e- !

in the third panel, is it possible all of a sudden, Sam also feels the need to relieve BAD and Dick is calling out to him wondering what’s wrong after noticing the look on his face?…LOL…

This story is pure fluff!

So … B.O. Plenty is kind of like that character on “Lost,” I think his name was Desmond, who had to punch a code into a computer every 100 minutes or so, to prevent the world from ending. Or something.

I think Mr. Mem’ry is planning a vacation to enjoy his loot but Tracy’s visit made him decide to leave earlier than planned.

The tension is definitely building.

B.O. called Tracy 2 names in the same strip!

Gasp! Memory owns a computer! (Along with 91.2% of Americans between 18 and 81.) Unless it was a condition of his parole why did Sam go into shock at the revelation?

As for feeding Walter mice… There are pet food companies who sell frozen mice for owls… Mr. Memory used such a company to feed Walter…Remember the “mouse on a platter” ?

Or Walter goes to a nature center…

If the paper Tracy held yesterday is a warrant for Mr. Memory, then he and Sam will have to settle for him. Yes, his computer was mentioned but would that alone give them cause to search Memory’s place?

Have Memory and B.O. gotten to know each that well, he is trusting B.O. with the computer?

B.O. gave out t.m.i (too much information) just like a broken refrigerator…can’t keep nothing.

If Memory was leaving Walter behind, he was planning on coming back. If he’s out through the bathroom window he might not plan on coming back. For his size, it would have to be a large enough bathroom window close enough to the ground so as not to make noise to alert Sam. That said, given the setup he had in the pilot, he could have built his tub to slide to the side with a stairway to an escape tunnel.

It’s a bomb and will detonate when B.O. enters the password.

Sam suddenly visualizes BO getting technical and has a minor stroke.

in all seriousness, this particular story arc hasn’t really been an exciting or memorable one… seems as if this story is trying to find some sort of direction and is going all over the place trying to find a destination that doesn’t seem to be in sight anytime soon… just MY humble opinion…

1-B.O.: …and it’s THIS BIG!

DT: Is that true, Gertie? GERTIE: Shore is. If’n that roach ain’t the biggest sumbit of all time, I don’t never wanna see the bigger un.

2-B.O.: I tried to step on it and it just laughed and judo flipped me. Now it’s sportin’ my shoes. D’ya wanna see it?

DT: Not really but I have to if I’m going to believe this tall tale.

3-B.O.: Well then, lookee over there – it’s a crawling right next to Sam!

DT: OMG, SAM! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DON’T MOVE! I’ve only got my revolver but we’ll just have to pray that’s enough!!!

BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM

SAM: STOP TRACY! SAVE THE LAST ONE FOR ME! AIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

So Memory moved into the neighborhood recently, right? Does that mean that he picked out a house that already had an escape route from the bathroom there? LOL! (I can just picture the newspaper/online advertisement for the rental.)

When did Memory involve B. O. and Gertie in this? Before they surprised him with the special dinner, he was getting ready to rob another bank over the internet. He had no advance warning that they were coming over, so he couldn’t have been planning to involve them. Then Tracy and Sam interrupted the supper, and have been on the scene ever since, so Memory certainly had no chance to come up with a story and convince B. O. and Gertie to do this. The only thing I can think of is that, during supper, he conceived this plan, talked to his guests and told them a plausible story about why he wanted them to help him with the “technical stuff”. Once again, wouldn’t it have been better to show us readers this development? Why must we always be filling in these huge gaps in the story telling?

I know that some books and TV shows are written this way; keeping us guessing about what is actually happening. But Dick Tracy has traditionally been a “one-darn-thing-after another”, linear story, at least until Mike took over.

More likely it’s something that will wipe his files clean and The Plenty’s won’t even realize what they’re doing.

Maybe Gertie saves recipes on the internet,but that’s the extent of their knowledge.

I truly like Shelley’s art, but I do miss the faux bows on the detectives’ chapeaux.

How can we get by without Neil telling us what we just read? Ken in Ohio..Mike is incapable of telling a coherent story or creating an interesting villain.

Enough of this squabbling. Bring on Charo and she can coochie-coochie us all into agreement with a auick, distracting performance of the famed Red Herring dance!

Uh-oh! With Gertie’s unintentional revelations, Tracy and Sam suddenly realize that this thing could be going south, in a big hurry! What computer command has Mr. Memory entrusted to the the unawares Gravel Gertie? And why would he be abandoning Walter?

Yup! He’s (about to be) on the lam, but not without leaving some cyber-surprise behind him! —If, that is, he can escape Tracy and Sam….
