Okay, I think we’re finally seeing the main bad guy of the story. We are only seeing him from the back, but he seems to be supervising a call centre where they are asking people for their social security numbers, definitely a suspicious operation.

Boomhauer from King of the Hill?…

So now I finally know where all those telemarketing calls I’ve been getting morning noon & nite are coming from.

Here we go again with the crossing town visitors. With a Memorial day cookout featuring gas by Strickland Propane. I wonder how Mike will handle presenting a cross dressing Bobby and the extra curricular lover, John Redcorn.

Carrot top looks distressed. Does he think the foreman is going off the deep end ?

Mumbles? If he’s in the prison with his buddies and Sliver Nitrile this time, then who is the fast-mouthing person? A clone or relative?

Is what I am seeing Tracy land’s version of Amazon? Keep an eye on that person who said shut up Boomhauer, he could create an active shooter situation.

As for Boomhauer, he might be descended from auctioneers. Or he could moonlight as a rapper in a night club.

Are the stories connected or were the Nitrates just one week time filling marshmellow fluff?

Boomhauer? Have we brought in King of the Hill?

A day’s strip spent largely on Mike making a King Of The Hill “joke”. MEDIC! BROKEN FUNNY BONE OVER HERE!

1-OL’ GRAY MARE: You’ve somehow managed to reach COMCRAP CUSTOMER SERVICE. Before I put you on an interminable hold, I’d like to congratulate you on that feat! LILA SHIRT: I’ve got 153 people on hold. Is that a record?

2-WALKING BOSS: NOT EVEN CLOSE! AND THAT’S NOTHING TO BE PROUD OF!!! THOSE PEOPLE SHOULDN’T EVEN BE GETTING THROUGH TO A REAL PERSON! NOW KEEP PRESSING THAT BUTTON THAT SENDS THEM BACK TO THE MAIN MENU OR YOU’RE FIRED!!!

He thinks he’s got it bad. I can’t understand Mumbles when he talks fast or slow.

I presume that Mike will be filling us in soon enough, but right now I can’t see how a call center fits in the current story. I could see possibly if Sprocket was the rep on our right, but someone posted that she was in California, so that’s probably out.

Since I have never seen King of the Hill, Mike’s little inside joke was lost on me. But leaving that aside, this is still a very confusing mess. We are obviously seeing some sort of call center; I get that. But, the supervisor telling one of the employees to “Shut Up” while he is on the phone with a customer? Maybe if we had been shown the offending employee talking too fast, we could better understand what is happening here. But all we have seen, and “heard”, is two reasonable employees going about their routine. I think this is Mike attempting to shoehorn in his King of the Hill reference, but it didn’t work.

Is the Faceless Supervisor listening to a podcast of King of the Hill on a bluetooth device and talking back to it? Or is there an employee in this “new business” boiler room “in an older part of [Tracyville]” who just happens to be a fast-talker named Boomhauer?

I don’t know. Nor do I know how this will tie in with the lengthy Nitrate intro, narrated by Silver but referencing Sprocket/Susan and her partner Adam Austin, to this story arc. Perhaps JPuzzleWhiz (in a Reply to WilliamVollmer above) was correct in finding a tie-in with the delivery of a box containing copies of his new book to Adam Austin and Susan/Sprocket. So far, this is holding my interest, but if this turns out to a meaningless maeander leading nowhere, I shall be disappointed, to say the least….

It looks to me like Adam Austin and Susan are going to get mixed up in the next story arc. I am hoping that Dick Tracy and the others fail to notice that Susan=Sprocket. BTW, wasn’t Blaze Rize in a recent story arc, and then seemed to fade out of it?

Remember when I said a few days ago how you were all witnessing the * ONLY* part of the story that would make sense?

If there is a scam involved, I got a feeling the Feds will be called in and we’ll see Fritz Ann again…been awhile.
