At the rate he’s going, it’ll be Inauguration Day before he even talks about the election….

Has Mike made a habit of wearing his glasses under his nose? Methinks he may need more that hearing aids!

Has anyone else noticed that Ivanka and Jared have been completely silent all through the campaign and even after the election? I like to think that they finally came to their senses and see the Orange Baboon for what he really is—a lying, narcissistic, bigoted, convicted felon!

You left out TRAITOR, and Ivanka (the only kid he cares about) is married to an android eunuch. Objective reality.

    Is cognitive decline contagious?

‘cognitive decline’. It’s because you can’t hear the conversations so you don’t engage in them, closing yourself up. Brain gets rusty without constant use. Thank goodness for modern technology and good hearing aids. When I heard the rain falling on the ground for the first time in years I just stopped in awe and to listen to it.

I’d like to learn semaphore but it’s getting late, I’m old, I’m confused and I’m starting to flag.

If it’s true the new Apple earbuds (whatever they’re called) are useful as hearing aids, I predict the proof of that will be a dramatic price reduction in hearing aids to stay competitive.

The TDS is strong among these commenters, it is. You take a nice Xmas scene and ignore it completely so that you can dump your unrelated bilge upon innocent bystanders. So sad. You may want to consider seeking professional help, or at least get a non-orange hobby. But I suspect you’ll be as deaf to such suggestions as poor dad in this comic. Uh… I SAID I SUSPECT YOU’LL BE AS DEAF… Oh, what’s the use.

We can’t comment on the political comics, so I’ll try describing today’s post by one of the political cartoonists. Heck, it might catch on. Of is might get me banned…

No point having that expensive stereo gear if you cannot hear it. Spend the money on a good digital hearing aid. Analog hearing aids gave the devices a bad reputation because they just amplify everything. Apple earbuds can be fitted as hearing aids but it is better to get a hearing professional to tailor the response of your digital hearing aid. Many hearing aids now have direct Bluetooth interface, which makes them much easier to use with phones.

I can foresee research papers on cognitive decline in recent occupants of the White House, perhaps seeking links to never-ending stress on the job. Not Jimmy Carter, tho. He still seems sharp a century into existence.

“So, Mr. Johnson, it’s been a couple of weeks. How are the new hearing aids working out?”

“Just great, doc. Everything’s coming in clear as a bell now.”

“And what does your family think about it?”

“Oh, I haven’t told them yet. Already changed my will three times.”

If any of you are considering cataract surgery, have it done now. I probably should have had them done 50 years ago, when I started using a computer, but was too afraid. I had the first one done just the other day, and the results have been indescribably good so far

My 89-year-old dad is going through the VA right now to get his cochlear implants. I’ve seen firsthand how not being able to hear has made him feel isolated. It is a long road back though.
