Frank, it may be because you’re always too late. Other customers always get and buy them before you even have a chance to see them.

Because today’s banana’s are smeared, for 400 yards, along the hill that leads into Scranton, PA. Yes that 30,000 pounds, of bananas (see Harry Chapin for details).

We got a bunch of green last week that never did ripen. Hard as rock and they couldn’t even be peeled. Never happened before. . .

I was at a Publix and a woman was looking at the bananas that were all very green. She asked the produce guy if there were any ripe ones in the back. He said lady why would we put out the green ones while keeping ripe ones in the back?

Make banana bread from tomorrow’s bananas and then you kind of have bananas today.

I read a tip years ago that peeling a banana from the tail end is better. It peels easier and there are fewer “threads” to pick off. I think it does peel easier, but I’m not so sure about the fewer threads…

Buy tomorrow’s banana today, eat it tomorrow. Buy yesterday’s banana today, make banana nut loaf tomorrow. Tomorrow is the solution (but promised to no one).

I haven’t seen “yesterday’s bananas” in years; my stores only sell green or greenish. So I can’t ever just decide to make banana bread and run out to pick up some spotted bananas, I always have to plan it in advance. I wonder if they throw out the spotted ones, or what.
