and their wait gonna be LONG

Maybe they only make contact with intelligent beings.

Maybe they are limited by the laws of physics.

That’s gonna be a loooooooong wait!

It seems reasonable that there must be other intelligent life forms somewhere in the vastness of space. But because it seems reasonable doesn’t mean it’s actually true.

It would be cool, though if some friendly ETs dropped by Earth for a visit. I just hope they wouldn’t want “to serve man” in the Twilight Zone sense.

No harm! They couldn’t be any worse than the wannabe dicktators we have!!!

The aliens are likely araid we will eat them. I would stay away too.

I never did buy that “The universe is too big for us to be the only life” argument — when we’ve actually demonstrated what it takes for life to form apart from biological reproduction, THEN we’ll be able to understand.

Avoidance is a sign of great intelligence in life out there. It’s also a sign of vast distance.

Grandpa nailed it. We’re just not considered sufficiently educated to be able to handle extraterrestrial life. They are waiting until we reach a level of intelligence that will accept new life forms without prejudice and fear. Not happening any time soon.

Maybe we are them. What started out as a three hour tour several hundred thousand years ago……..

If they are looking for intelligence, they should have kept going. No intelligence on this planet. Just look how humans are destroying it.

I like to do a thought experiment. I pretend that I am a boy/girl/whatever scout from the planet Zarg and I want to get my merit badge in primitive cultures. So the scoutmaster arranges for the troop to visit Earth.

When you look at our society from the outside, it looks a lot different. Some of the things we do are tragic, some a comic and many are just plain arbitrary.

Having spent little time on Zarg itself, I am not sure that I can see ourselves as well as others see us.

Or… we are all part of a futuristic game of Minecraft played by some allian teens.

Soon it will be humans who won’t be making contact with aliens

We only have to look at ourselves to see how intelligent life might develop into something we wouldn’t want to meet.

They’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting…..they must be an incredibly patient bunch……

Face it. Right now we’re a fly by planet.

Maybe they have and their scouting report has made it clear that this is not a friendly place.

They lock their doors when they fly past earth.

We hope they would be like ET and not like some vandalistic vicious biker type hoard of orcs.

note to aliens: don’t hold yer breath!
