Lol! “What’s going on” to Tiff is definitely not “what’s going on” to these kids….. Time for another crack at it, Tiff! Relax, relate …. and then release!….

For her to think these little kids would know anything at all about her past/ current life is sheer idiocy. Those kids are facing challenges that Tiff probably has never had to even think about for a moment. This career choice is definitely not the one for her. She needs to work in a shelter/ food bank for at least a month before she gets to work with these kiddoes again.

It’s heck to get old and irrelevant… ^Yeah, usually one or the other is trouble enough! Poor Tiff, having to deal with both at the same time….

In preparation for the upcoming anniversary of the Mrs. and I on the 14th, I usually change all of my pictures on my computer(s), home media and phone to reflect this, and this year, am glad to add my GoComics avatar to the list! – SeaJam is our combined names, and reflects common themes between us. It is also a name I use for media and writing projects that I undertake, and some other stuff, as well…

Oh yeah, that too.

I’d like to add “What’s Going On” by Marvin Gaye and “What’s Up?” by 4 Non Blondes to the playlist, to add to whatever JPW or anyone else may have….

Guess Greg didn’t have the heart to write “What’s a comic strip?” Funny, but it hits too close to home.

And also “It Never Rains In Southern California” by Albert Hammond. Very pertinent lyrics, in view of Tiff’s line of approach with the kids.

Thanks! This year, we’ll either have to do it a few days early, or a few days later, since it’s on a Monday, this year (aargh, Mondays, Lol!)… but at least there’s one to still enjoy! – Glad you guys got back safe! And I take it that it was a nice evening, huh?

Their responses to her question indicate that the kids “know what’s going on” in the real world far better than Tiffany does…. Maybe she will learn something from them.

This is sort of making me feel bad for Tiff (as this strip tends to do in cycles with this character for me). She doesn’t have many other ways of communicating with anybody else except by talking about herself and/or constantly thinking about herself.

these kids don’t know and don’t want to know what is going on in Tiffany’s life. They all have issues and problems of their own and in their family. The children’s issues are WAY more important than anything Tiffany can come up with.

Here’s another way of looking at Tiffany: she might be suffering from a mental disorder called ‘narcissism’, where the patient is totally obsessed with herself (or himself). Not as awful as dementia, because there’s no proof that narcissism is a disease of the brain.

LOVE that little girl in the blue shirt! Yesterday she gave a heartfelt hug to Luann, a duty hug to Tiff— and all while she was secretly mourning the tragic death of Kitty. Kid’s a true martyr!

And the stereotypically superficial teenage girl, such as Tiff, would believe anyone past 19-20 is “downhill” and “past their prime”, and… well, “old”…. Lol!

In Md., they’re talking state concerns, with many fed offices in the Balt.-DC-Columbia metro area….

I know this is a comic (which I totally enjoy), but I am having a hard time with this arc and the fact that Tiffany got hired by a so called “educator” with absolutely no qualifications what so ever.

The other day, my 47 yr old son asked me, as part of his interview for his writing my life’s story, “What did you learn from us kids?” My answer in part is that things don’t turn out like you expect them to. I suspect that Tiff will learn that lesson from these children.

Jewel Clanton was a prominent B-movie actress in the late 1980s and 1990s appearing in dozens of really low-budget horror and exploitation movies. She was a big celebrity to the niche audience who bought all those films on VHS and who stood in line at horror conventions to get her autograph, but of course the main-stream move audience was completely unaware of those films or her role in them. Y’know? I forgot about another aspect of all of this….Today, you have all of these “Reality Stars”, getting famous in… let’s just say, “unsavory ways”, e.g.: Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian (The “K Network” reference in the “sponsors”…), etc. Also, the “Honey Boo-Boos” out there, even the Bethenny Frankels, Omorosas, etc. from the former versions of “the Apprentice”, or some other person making theirselves famous in infamous ways (what an oxy-maroon!), then, boom! Alll on talk shows, etc, using up more of their 15 Min. than anyone else ever got.. -But, flash back to pre-1990… NONE of these aforementioned ones would get even so much as a sniff, or maybe a scoffing glance…. (at least for the most part) They would have to work very hard in some Hollywood manner (in all of the legal and moral ways, I’m speaking of…) in order to get even a once-over on a talk show, or what have you.. One example, is all the one-hit wonders of the 70s-90s… Nowadays, Miss Cyrus and a bunch of others keep themselves in conversations with “infamous behavior”…
