I know the strip is moving on with fresh characters, but having seen this group together for so long, sure will miss them. I hope they ‘drop in’ on occasion.

I always thought the clean-up “crew” usually picks up debris from country roads, and such… ;)

Once I left HS, I never went back. The reunion books sound interesting, though I am not sure if my HS even had any. Checked the HS out on the web, but no real answers there. I probably just need to keep on hunting in FB! =-O

We’ll miss Delta, who helped keep Bernice and Luann grounded in the real world. This farewell tour of duty on their adopted street is a good reminder, and, as Bernice said, Skype often, Delta! Goodness knows, Luann needs it!

I’m glad to here Bernice say, “Skype often…” which means, hopefully, that we’ll see more of Delta, later on.

So, what’s next? Return to TJ? Knute and/or Crystal? Advancement of the Brad/Toni wedding? Lu prepping for Pitts CC? Lu and Quill?

I know most of you want to get back to TJ, and so would I. But, with time running short in the summer, I’d think we’d need to do things that require resolution prior to the new school year starting. Thus, I think "Lu prepping for Pitts CC’ and/or Lu and Quill will be next. Perhaps, Knute and Crystal also. But, as previously stated, I’d like to see Knute and Crystal stick around. Knute could work at Weenie World, and Crystal, if not at Mooney or Pitts CC, could open her own “Goth Boutique.” And, if GE decides to develop Knute and Crystal (“Krystal”) :-) so much the better.

TJ’s resolution is not dependent on a calendar, nor are Brad & Toni advancing. So it can take longer than the school year starting. The former just has to happen before the latter. And Lu and Quill need not be resolved immediately either, as it might allow a vehicle to get Lu onto the Mooney campus to interact with the others for bits at a time. Perhaps, with the eventual goal of her transferring there.

“Knutestal”?

I think Knute would be chivalrous enough to let her have the majority of the contraction. :-)

And, besides, it also matches the Southern eatery The Krystal

Knowing how receiving reimbursement(s) for insurance claims works – it will NOT be a quick fix for TJ.

“The Krystal” was pretty decent, back in the 60’s… regular burgers, etc. I think they became a White Castle clone only more recently.

Way cool! This strip highlights both Luann’s self-centeredness and Delta’s other-centeredness. Their friendship enlarged both of them.*Here’s a switch for a reunion of the Three Musketeers— come holiday time, instead of Delta coming back to Pitts to visit, Lu and Bern go to DC to see the sights and take part in Delta’s unexciting life.

I notice Delta didn’t come up with that ’Adopt A Street ’ idea until she was conveniently on her way out of having to get HER hands dirty cleaning it up.( Cynical…ME? )

It isn’t just streets that need to be adopted. Creeks, streams, & rivers too.

“Mary Sue” is an idealized character, often but not necessarily, an author insert. And I agree; when Delta’s cancer went into remission, so did her development (IMHO).

And another character bites the dust – or gets erased as the case might be!

“Mary Sue” is another term for a “Keener”. In other words, “Goody-Goody”, but also with an extra jab…..

These days, “Mary Sue” has been “snatched” by the newer generations, to be more of a deriding term for someone who wants to “play it straight” and who seems to do stuff that’s not always fun…. they consider a “Mary Sue” to be “uptight”, when it’s probably not the case (not always), for someone labeled as such….

Here’s a link to a site that I don’t particularly use myself, but it shows that others also associate the term “Mary Sue” with “Straight laced” and also “teacher’s pet”……

Why did the story of TJ end so abruptly? Are we going to find out what happened with the insurance, or is that next weeks episode?

Just jumped in to see what’s been going on! Looks like Luann and Bernice will be moving along into un-chartered waters sometime in the next week or two? We already know what will be happening to Delta. I am beginning to wonder What direction Greg is going in..school should be starting soon…we need some prep work before the actual classes begin, don’t you think?!
