I’m in the back – on the right between the guy in the green shirt and ’ol Smiley. The one in the Darth Vader costume. Like the firemen, I did not have time to change clothes as I came from far, far, away…
I remember my wedding. My bride walked down the aisle toward me, and I knew that there was no more beautiful woman on the face of the Earth, and that I was the most blessed man alive. And both of these things still hold true, 21 years later.
Re Bernice and Gunther: Anybody can come to the church for the ceremony, you don’t always have to have an invitation. However, you can’t just show up for the reception as that is done by the numbers. If guests are a no show G & B could be asked by the family to fill the seats because the meal is already paid for.
Didn’t Toni have a dark haired girlfriend in her EMT class? Maybe she kept up with her all these years during the brad and Toni Romance? Maybe that is who the dark curly haired woman is that is 2 seats down from the captain?
My wife and I joked that we told the attendants/ushers to block the exits, in case of escape…
-
Really though, my beautiful wife said that her fear in walking down the aisle to meet me, with all the onlookers and attention on her, all the cameras and lights… All the ‘pomp and circumstance’…was…… that she’d trip in her heels. She didn’t, though, and looked grand and stylish in her entrance!
To think Toni was just a long shot dream for Brad at one time…… Not anymore! And there’s no better, cockier best man than T.J. hope we don’t cut to another story now,
Glad Gunther and Bernice were invited. And the firefighters too. As to their shirts, I know FF’s carry spare shirts in their bags. At least the one I know does. The one they wear under their turnout gear gets soaking wet, so they definitely want something dry to put on if possible.
.
Don’t know if Jonah would be planning to sit down during the ceremony. He could be planning to step aside and become an attendant, then walk Shannon down the aisle when the ceremony is over. TJ would logically walk with Luann so it would make sense.
I do believe that’s Mrs. Horner between Gunther and Nancy. It would make sense for the couple to Nancy’s left to be her parents — and no, Nancy’s parents aren’t supposed to have been killed, that was Toni’s parents.
I’ve no idea who the lady is behind Frank and Nancy, nor can I identify the two women next to the Captain — unless the dark-haired woman on the end is Toni’s classmate from the Fire Academy.
Interesting set of people in the front row, particularly next to the captain. Could one be Toni’s aunt? In the second row behind Frank, and next to Ms. Homer, who might that be? Anyway I think Friday we will see the beauteous bride begin to walk down the aisle followed by Puddles and Shannon. I wonder who is going to officiate, and whether it will be a religious, or to follow Greg’s reluctance to be religiously oriented, a civil officer, such as a Judge. Sunday the Kiss the Bride!! Saturday the vows!!
Nice looking crowd of folks. I am glad things seem to still be running smoothly. For me, however, today seems simply like a “filler” day even when compared across the whole series of wedding panels we have had the last few weeks. Today’s effort is not overly interesting or engaging for me. I am looking forward to getting back to the more exciting (to me) aspects of Luann. I am feeling a bit “wedding-ed out”.
Is the woman next to the Captain maybe Toni and Jonah’s aunt? If so, then Jonah is supposed to come sit next to her after he walks the bride down the aisle, but there’s no space saved for him.
Reminds me of my own wedding. Next year would have been my 60th anniversary, but sadly my lovely bride left us in 2010. I still have her wedding dress hanging in her closet.
Isn’t it nice that the Captain, like Nancy, dressed in blue to match the color scheme? Take it it’s mixed seating— but they should leave room in the first row for the bride’s escort (Jonah) to sit.
I believe the old woman with blue hair and 80s glasses, in the polka-dot dress, is the Great-Aunt who gave Puddles to the Degroots…. when she got tired of him making puddles, all over her house.
I see Mrs. Horner sitting next to Gunther. It is fitting that she would be there since she knew Brad and Luann from very early age. The Degroots bought her house (the one Brad and TJ are living in now) didn’t they?
Get ready to bid farewell to youth, Brad. Cross out “me” and write in “we”, then underscore “responsibility”. Give it 5 years and if you do it right, you won’t be the same person..
Meanwhile, TJ is still talking like the jerk he is, but at least he’s behaving himself in his actions (so far). Two more installments before the Sunday finale!
Where’s the music? Flowers? candles? This event is taking place in an area so sterile, that they could perform surgery in it. But, that’s okay, I’m enjoying the whole thing.
