Sorry, but Bern has a strict one-weirdo limit, and right now she’s at capacity.

So…so far Gunther, Piro, and Nil all have their sites on Bernice—that’s beating out Tiffany! Nerdess power!

Whoa!! Bernice you have mojo!! And the sad part is you don’t know it. Luann has to be gobsmacked. I am too.

Bernice seems to attracts guys that wear scarves and knitted caps and have unusual hair styles. I wonder what that means?!?

The ones who give off that ’I’m Attainable’ vibe occasionally attract multiple admirers.

I cannot see Bern attracted to Nil. She likes mysterious – but not goofy.

Emo wants Luann to tell Bernie that he has his eye out for her.

Modern art makes Nil think of Bernice. It seems strange but at least Nil has a thought. What could the thought be? Let’s see:

1. Would Bernice be willing to go with me to the Batcave?

2. Piro said Bernice was a good kisser and I wondered if you agree.

3. What does Bernice think about guys who chew gum and leave the gum on the wall of Modern Art museums?

4. Do you think Bernice would introduce me to her roommate Dez?

5. What does Bernice think of guys who like to dress in all black and run around at night wearing vampire teeth?

6. What does Bernice think of guys who take an art class that lasts 3 years?

I do not recall if we have ever seen Emo without his beanie on. Perhaps he has several moon phases carved into his hair. Two moons or more beats one star.

First Piro, now Nil. That’ll make TWO Guys In Bernice’s “Love Life” that She’s NOT Really Sure About. Gunther? Once again, You’re Safe, My Lad! Now, Go and make a bit of time with Your “Study Buddy,” Tiffany, BEFORE College ends for the Summer, whilst We sit back and Enjoy the Utter Confusion, which is Bernice!

We don’t really know enough about NIl to know if this is a good development or not. It could be a harmless crush or it could be an obsessive stalker type situation. I doubt Bernice will have any interest in him though. Didn’t he take a drink out of her beverage when they were last together?

This could be an interesting arc. Flood Bee with suitors and see what happens. After all, everybody has one bad grade semester at college.

It’s great to see Luann back in circulation. What a week is ahead of us.

The second panel reminds me of a few classes over the years where we talk about a topic, have read it, then I ask students to break out in groups to discuss it,and they have that clueless look.

Interesting. But, who would we prefer win Bernice’s affections? Piro or Nil? Very hard to say. I like both characters a lot. Hopefully, Greg has in the plans a very long period of time where both are attempting to win her attention. I could see this being an arc that goes on for a long time. I think it will be quite fun.

I would like to see more of who Nil actually is. He sometimes pops up when you least expect it, and he seems to be less unhinged than he looks.

Well it IS a thought … and Nil IS sharing it. I do like the wry, knowing grin on Jack’s face. :)

I also like what we’ve seen of Nil so far. He seems to be a pretty keen observer of human nature, and not full of himself.

Interesting dynamic if Piro sees Bernice out with Nil. Lots of potential here.

Jack seems pretty short for being a football player. Maybe that’s why he’s playing football in Junior College.

@ JPuzzleWhiz and your response to DLKreuger99: The strip you reference as the alleged end of the mystery is really the beginning of it! In this episode we learn that Bernice and Piro were covering up for the thief, both thinking that each other had been the thief! To make matters worse, Bernice now has Lopez’ scarf, which she got from Dez (if memory serves me well). And yet, Lopez believes the thief is in room 213? Give me a break! Yes, the security camera saw something, and something is going on in room 213. Okay, I get that. But the mystery is far from over!

It’s why I believe that either (1) Dez is the thief or (2) Dez is connected to the thief in room 213. Sorry, Greg, but for me, the mystery goes on!

I actually think that because Bernice wasn’t attracted to Piro, and she was sure she was going to be, Greg is introducing Nil as the guy that she never thought of but who will be perfect for her. Then they can double-date and we can find out if there really is something going on between LuAnn & Meathead…

Let’s get to the kissing part first to see how that goes.
