I agree. At this point I don’t see what possibilities are there for this arc. But that’s why GnK are authoring this strip and not me.

Just leave Gunther forget about helping Tiff she doesn’t need YOU

Maybe it’s just me, but I find the idea of buying used lingerie, well, kind of…unpleasant.

New girlfriend, new friends, new ways for the new friends to help one of the main characters, Tiffany. Gunther brought them together because of a digital app that Luann told him about. Man all these good things happening at one time! As usual the trolls are imploding and creating all kinds of contra scenario’s that Gunther is too dofus/nerd to do this, that somehow the lingerie is fake (that was settled) that , that, that… I do think it will circle around to Ann Awful, in a good way for Tiffany, but Tiffany is showing so much growth, so much good stuff! Some of you just “CAN’T STAND IT!” paraphrasing Charlie Brown.

Maybe Bets and Tiff will figure out why Tiff’s dad is going broke (hint: Ann), seeing as how he doesn’t have anyone managing his money. Unless he’s been ignoring his “guy” telling him that Ann is a blackhole for money.

I think it’s good for Gunther that Bets & Tiff hit it off. It coulda got real ugly. After Tiff goes home, Bets should give Gunther a nice, slow wet one in his room. It’s time – if this relationship is gonna go anywhere.

Poor Gunther. Reminds me of the circling of the wagons in “Blazing Saddles”. All the girls are running all their wagons in a huge circle, and Gunther is running his one little wagon in a circle by itself.

Uh-oh. I know what Bets is doing. She is buying Tiffany’s lot for a single buying price then she will sell each piece on eBay at an inflated price because of the brand name and make mucho moola. She’s cheating Tiffany out of her money.

I wonder if Ann will accuse Tiff of ‘stealing’ the lingerie from her and then the whole story will come out because Tiff’s dad knows his daughter has the real thing and will question the accusation. Maybe Tiff trying to take care of herself will somehow lead to all Ann’s deceptions and Tom finally sees the truth Tiff has been trying to convey about Ann. One can only hope something like that will happen. Control what you can, let go of what you can’t and let Karma take care of the rest.

Now, All that’ s left is for Bets is to mention that she’s a Star Trek Fan and Gunny might “Problem,” with Tiffany getting in the way of his relationship.

Either that, or ALL My dreams WILL come true and the gals WILL decide to SHARE Gunther! And Bet will look GREAT wearing that lingerie for Gunny as someone at GoCom predicted the other day.

Just imagine! Gunther sandwiched between Bets and Tiffany on the couch while watching Star Trek marathons and gals are dressed in lingerie and painted green like Orion Girls. Oooooh, I’m getting GIDDY, and that’s NOT from too much CAFFEINE!

Oh, WAIT. Bets hasn’t got to the 50% part and Les hasn’t reared his ugly head, yet.

There is more to Bets than we knew. she has the money to pay for Tiff’s room!! It will be interesting if they become roommates and what happens to the Gunther Bears relationship

Tiffany’s used (or unused, but pre-bought) Souffle sells so well, she convinces the CEO to let her open a branch, with Bets as manager. Much to the annoyance of Anne and her prior counterfeits.

Bets is NOT BUYING the lingerie. She is aware of how much it will sell for.

Bets must have money if she can afford to pay Tiff enough for Tiff to pay for her dorm room, even for just summer session. I’m sure private dorm rooms don’t come cheap.

Bets and Gunthie should go ahead and show Tiff how to set up an Ebay account, (Paypal too) Explain to her about the fees these websites charge, and approximately how much she will need for packaging materials and shipping. Tiff might want to sell more stuff in the future, and she can’t always expect Bets to come to her rescue.

If it’s not too late, Tiff should take back that ugly “power suit” she bought and have that taken off her credit card. It would be one less bill she had to pay.

Bets is quickly being developed into a major character. Hadn’t seen anything like this since Toni Daytona. Look how much we’ve learned about her in a few weeks. Plus she now is making connections with two of the major, permanent characters.

Gunther and Tiff have been put thru a serious, torturous, wringer lately. And it looks like GnK have introduced a character that may provide relief to both.

You know? THIS is beautiful. Two young women bonding right before our very eyes! I don’t think that has ever been depicted to such a degree in this Strip.

And intricacies of the plot! ALL of this came about because Pru got annoyed that Lu was spending too much time texting Gunther rather than actually visiting Gunther back in January. And her visit with him led to Date Pics, Which led to Bets, which led Gunny getting a new VERY HOT (Thank You Greg And Karen!) Girlfriend! Which is now leading to Bets interacting with the gang. Les, she HATES, and Luann she doesn’t trust. But of all people, Tiffany, she’s starting to actually Like! And both just happen to be business majors. And while they don’t know it yet, they’re both Star Trek fans. Brilliant!

But Questions remain:

The First question is: What College does Bets attend? Hopefully Mooney U.

Which bring up the second question: If it is Mooney, does Bets stay on or off campus?

Third question: Does Bets need a roommate?

Oh, and I wouldn’t worry about Gunther. He hasn’t outlived his usefulness to either of these young ladies yet. Not by a long shot! After Bets and Tiffany haggle over that 50%, the subject of Gunther WILL come up eventually. And a mutual agreement will be reached. Besides, they’ll NEED Gunny to help move Tiffany’s (Or Bets’) furniture to the new dorm room! ;)

At last Tiffany has met someone she can converse with and have a friendship with. She has been so alone and in need of a female friend.

I doubt the CEO of Souffle would be happy to see ebay being used as an outlet for his merchandise. His retailers would be burning up his phone the moment they got wind of it.

I’m still confused with this whole Tiff thing. If she has all these connections. Whats her deal with not being able to get a great job? At the very least a killer intership in fashion design or something.

If my memory serves me correctly, Tiffany had her own collection of Souffle which is how she knew that Ann Eiffel was selling knock-offs…

The thing that is funny about today’s ‘toon is that all the posters here were so sure there would be a big fight over Gunther. Instead, the two women are quickly planning how Tiffany’s financial future will be bettered, and neither of them are even thinking about Gunther right now…

@Schrodinger’s Dog—-I got the impression from the last panel that Bets was telling Tiff that SHE (Bets) would buy all Tiff’s stuff. Whether to keep or resell is unknown. You interpreted it differently, that’s all. I will allow for your interpretation even though you won’t allow for mine.

I’m guessing that Bets (in her comment about Tiff’s dorm room being paid for) is assuming that the lingerie will sell for a lot of $ which will be enough to cover Tiff’s housing expenses. But nothing has been posted or sold yet and Tiff is already trusting and thanking her. Tomorrow they get to the work.

I wish people would stop trying to push Gunther and Tiff together. They’re not even vaguely compatible. And I think it’s great that Tiff and Bets are getting to be friends. I’m also glad that Bets seems to be returning to her original color. Gunther needs a girl friend, and I see no reason why Bets can’t be the one, or why there needs to be conflict between Bets and Tiff. Tiff isn’t interested in Gun, and Bets is. Tiff isn’t ready for a boyfriend right now anyway. She’s got a lot of growing up to do.

It seems to me that Tiffany’s dad is the CEO of Souffle Lingerie. She knows the product inside and out and keeps saying she knows the CEO. It could also tie in how Ann got to know Tiff’s dad. To deal with Ann, TJ needs to be brought into the arch. He is kryptonite to Ann.

Chill, Gunny. As so often, you’re not needed. So let the new BFFs get on with the auction and stay in the background, which is where you belong….

So to me it looks like tomorrow (Friday night/Saturday) will be the end of the Gunther/Bets/Tiffany arc for a while. I hope Tiffany leaves happy, and then Bets makes Gunther happy.
