This week has been like watching paint dry.

Greg has to grind this stuff out everyday, year after year. I don’t know how he can do it. The stories might be weak, but the drawing keeps getting better.

Funny story? No, it really wasn’t.

Hamster’s story should end today unless next week is about Toni’s storylines. Finding a house, don’t like loud things or getting a quiet pet?

Next week, back to Mooney University and see if Tiffany drops out from the economic class that Bets told her to stay in. Tiffany is too clever to be stupid, but needs motivation to study instead of blow off stream at parties and eyeballing Football Quarterbacks.

Well clearly they like having fun. More than being severe.

Just think of it as aggressive texture on the wall.

No wonder Nana escaped. Too many gaps between rolls. And no wonder Shannon found her – she got lost in the labyrinth of the TP.

But…but….THEY’RE WASTING TP!!!!

I doubt kids would find unrolling all them towels just to get to the tube, fun, it is work, tedious work.

I’m just impressed anyone has that much toilet paper or that many paper towels during the pandemic.

I think this week has been leading to Toni having a baby.

This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen…no sensible person would ever unroll all the toilet paper and paper towels to do this…maybe saved up empty ones, but not this…gahhh…

And THAT, is supposed to be an “improvement,” Toni??

Sheesh.

Now, if Old Smiley had been there, he’d have torn out those walls with wreck-less abandon and WITHOUT permission, and built a proper “Hamster Obstacle Course,” that stretched from the front door to back! This time WITH Elbow Joints!

Too bad he was too busy being petrified into inaction at the Fuse, by the very sight of his former ‘Nemesis.’

You know, if this was during the war, you’d be in hot water for wasting those scarce resources!

Came home on night to find my 3 little pups had destroyed a full bag of shredded paper, standing in the mist of it all….their tails wagging, eyes full of joy and glad to see me. All I could do was smile ..and asking “why?” Lmbo :^))

Well with the ridiculous cost of paper towels now days, Brad and Toni must be very prosperous to waste that many rolls.

All those paper towels and toilet paper are being wasted. There are so many people in the world who would kill someone for those things.

Uh Oh! Shannon says “I found HER.” That means they could soon be overrun by baby hamsters!

Okay here goes ‘HILARITY ENSUES." Sue me, or bite me? I don’t even know what that really means but for those who curdle when this commenter says that this is where these panels seem to go this week.

Looks like Toni and Shannon have a bad Habitrail to break!

It’s great to see Toni do stupid things for have fun with Shannon♡. She’s finally losing her coldness. Brad enjoys watching the scene. Surely with him, Toni feels more free to express herself and this begins to expand even with the rest of the family ♡.

Awwwwww! What a happy, wholesome, week! I swear, Brad and Tony, (and Shannon and TJ by association) are the only characters that never fail to make me smile. You know it’s a good week when the only thing thats even slightly annoying is the comments.

Say “Good bye,” Shannon. There are Shannon likers, and there are Shannon dislikers, which doesn’t make them “haters”, simply dislikers.

Wasting stuff, what’s it look like?

I love that Brad looks excited, like he wants to jump into whatever mayhem is going on, rather than upset at the mess.

Yesterday someone wondered what Brad was gonna think about all this. This is pretty much what I thought: He’d probably get in on the fun. I don’t think growing up means losing the inner kid, especially with Brad. :-)

Love it! So sweet.

From the look on Brad’s face, he may be ready to jump in and help. However, being the “man”, his version might include wood, nails and a hammer! I know that’s a real generalization. Being a woman with the essential toolbox, I would have gone the pvc route or something more substantial. And, there’s always Petco! Will this arc end? How long can this project last? Oh, the suspense? §:-)

A nice transition week. Something light, predictable, to give the strip a rest.

So are Brad and Toni working separate shifts now or was Brad just out scrounging for toilet paper during the pseudo shortage? 8^ )

Well, I may be eating crow here.

G&K could well drop this arc next week. That I was not expecting.

The good: No anger or (apparently) irreversible destruction occurred. For those of us for whom paper on a roll has become almost as valuable as currency, this story was “shock and awe,” we need to remind ourselves that this story is taking place in Antarctica, where the virus has yet to land.

The bad: Even though “no harm done,” perhaps, in spite of it, no character growth shown at all. And it really does look like this story is done as of now.

Hats off to the commentator above who notes that, for all practical purposes, Bwad and Toni are Shannon’s parents.

I just wonder how long before G&K stop with the obligatory “Jonah drops off Shannon” introduction to these arcs. My prediction is that Jonah’s ship has sailed; we no longer need reference to him.

If we see Toni, we know Shannon is in tow.

I know this is nothing more than a drawing someone made, yet I still cringe to think about all that wasted toilet paper and paper towels. Wouldn’t an actual hamster tube set be more economical (and at least less of an eyesore) than dozens of tubes taped to the wall?

So the kid grew up to be Toni. Proceed with caution and discernment.

Geez, and I was expecting a Toni-involved homemade Habitrail to be something awesome, with actual cardboard elbow connectors, and on the floor, and not taped to the wall. Looks to me like it’s not even an “improved” version of Shannon’s project. Toni just used wider tape? Still has gaping gaps? And Toni thought this concoction was good enough to go ahead, open the cage and get the hamster loose? This could have easily led to tragedy… Nana’s disappearance and an extremely upset Shannon! Did Toni take stupid pills this morning?

I think Brad and Tony should have a baby. Then they could get help from the little one under the paper pile!!

Oh, come on, you guys…lighten up! This was a very sweet arc. As for wasting all the toilet paper, you do realize that these strips are created weeks in advance, right? Also, I read an article that said that G&K are NOT going to address the pandemic in their strip. Which is fine with me. I get enough of that everywhere else. As for Shannon and Toni…in later years they’ll laugh about the time the almost lost the hamster, and this will be a sweet memory for them.

Hmmm, isn’t there a TP shortage?

I am still puzzled as to why they had to unfurl all those rolls of paper towels and toilet paper when it’s easy to just pull out the center card board piece (I tried it myself). I guess G&K needed it for effect. That said, having that big pile of paper at the end of the tunnel made a trap for Nana to fall into after emerging. They needed to construct some enclosure (another cage?) at the end of the tunnel so Nana would not come out and go zooming around the house. I guess the big wad of paper on the floor there served that purpose.

The best part of this is showing what good parents do…

“Found her!!” was a nice touch.

Guessing Evans went with a milder story this week after what we had last week.

Brad, Toni what has Shannon done. She brought home a hamster from school for her project. So how did all the TP rolls end up on the walls. Well Brad that’s a funny story can i save that for later tonight.

This whole episode is kinda cute. The hamster, the kids and rolls of tp.

As information, for those of you on Facebook (Luann Comic), Greg and Karen address the pandemic and their thoughts on whether or not it will be included in the comic.

It makes interesting reading and there’s even “self portrait” of the father/daughter duo.

A little “bland” for what appears to be the conclusion of a pretty nice arc.

Brad is a better man than I if he can find this scene in his home funny….

Shannon and Nana should be exiled, ostracized, written out of the script!

Rolling all that paper back up will keep them busy most of the night.

Searching for the Hamster will fill up the rest of it.
