Bernice must see herself as a 15 year old, to act the way that she does. There is nothing wrong with her having a guest over or kissing her boyfriend at the place she is residing at.

Nil should consider dumping Bernice. It was rude of her not to introduce the Degroots to him.

With that pretty much being Nil’s default expression, I honestly can’t tell what his present state of mind is. Is he annoyed? Frustrated? Exasperated? Bewitched? Bothered? Bewildered?

On another note, it’s almost May, isn’t he melting in that turtleneck and blazer?

If I were Nil, I’d never come back.

Right now – I can’t generate one ounce of empathy for Bernice.

Yesterday, her cheeks were puffy like her mouth was full. Today it’s not, is she saying she swallows? Just wondering. If she did nothing with the boy, why is she being so defensive?

Well, she is being 98% honest. Not much happened. It’s not like Nancy hasn’t added fuel to Bernice’s fire by recommending the titillating novel.

In my experiences, when soneone denies something before being accused, they did that something.

Frank has a good point.

In truth, Bern and Nil did so much “talking” that by the time they got around to truly “getting busy,” the homeowners showed up.

Two takeaways from this arc so far:

1) Bernice? Take a tip from 9 Chickweed Lane: “Less talk, more action.”

2) Nil? Unless things change drastically, You need to join a small but growing number of young single men in this Strip who definitely need to be looking elsewhere for a new “girlfriend.” ;-)

Nil don’t look too happy. Yes, I realize that he’s not exactly Mr. Sunshine on the best of days. But in the second panel where it shows him leaving, he looks even more miserable than usual…

Nancy was young too, recolling her and his sneaking in and out…. She’s absolutely believes in Bernice’s explanation.

I think Nancy figured out what happened. Bernice talked a lot with her about her love problems. Nancy will talk to her about Nil and how to deal with these situations (because Bernice’s mother is totally out of her life). I’m pretty sure she will have no problem letting Nil visit Bernice in her room.

Think about the name Greg Evans gave him- “Nil”…

And now we watch to see how many times they can get away with swapping that same box back and forth before someone notices.

Bern adroitly handles Nil and the package, but she is about to spill the whole event. She has a ways to go before she can act normal with passion and romance.

I have seen 8 year olds with more maturity than Bernice. I think G/K are over exaggerating this situation. In this day and age, a 19/20 year old should not be this ridiculous (even in a cartoon.

Why does Nil put up with her behavior? I was over it a week ago.

Wonder how long Nil will put up with Bernice’s idiosyncrasies. Nerves are one thing, but rushing him out the door? Nancy, I’m sure will have something to say about it.

I never got caught by someone’s parents ( or landlord), but I have been hustled out the door.

Nil did NOT have that package when he was walking to Bernice’s house. He picked it up somewhere along the way and he needs to return it. It is not his.

Didn’t Bernice tell Nancy all about Nil when they first started dating? Why the secrecy now?

Nancy gives that her evil eye as does Frank to Bernice because they both no what happen are almost happen.

Guilty is as guilty feels. Long ago I was in a similar situation and reacted much the same way.

Maybe Bernice needs to see a professional, to understand why she’s being a nut job about something that is not a problem at all. Or maybe she has some secret religious beliefs that we don’t know about.

Bernice is talker enough for two people. They can’t recruit her to any of the fed agencies. She breaks like fine crystal.

I had a girlfriend like that. Best time was under a bush in a park 20 feet from a picnicking family.

To Nancy Bern is an open book. She already knows (from previous conversation) how Bern overreacts, e.g. the time she kissed Nil after the art show. I hope Nancy will straighten her out, at least tone down the neuroses.

Why does Greg keep dwelling on a story about a young woman with sexual hang-ups? Why is he so obsessed with portraying a nymphomaniac with a guilt complex? It’s not entertaining and it doesn’t portray anything about real relationships. He should have just wrapped it all up in one new character – a guilty nymphomaniac in a cheerleaders outfit who runs around town having sex in the bushes.

Wow Bernice. Could you have made it any clearer that something did?

Panicked, guilt-ridden, mentally confused, Bernie opens her mouth and sounds off once too often!

It’s time for Frank and Nancy to act like responsible grown-ups and throw Bernie out of their house!

No more sicko moochers (and that includes TJ)!

Nil deserves better. Who wants to be treated like a secret? Bern should have introduced Nil to Nancy and Frank well before this took place. But she is ashamed of having a boyfriend – if he is even that. Bern is messed up and has no business trying to become a therapist.
