Good for you, Luann. I’m sick of the “clean your room” demands, and so is Luann. She has more important things to do.

I think it’s time for Luann to move out. I never cleaned so well as when I moved into my first apartment.

I just want her room cleaned up for once. This is seriously old now

Don’t forget to siggle the mmpfs while you are at it. And check the processor oil. And delete anything on that pesky C: drive – that will speed things up and the system will run cooler after streamlining all those unnecessary processes.

And, for even better performance, let’s clean up the hard drive. Run command mode as administrator, type in “DISKPART”, select what would be your “C” drive (you can tell which one it is by the sizes reported if you have more than one drive in the system), type “CLEAN”, then let it finish. Since it probably was a persnickety GPT partition, we need to change that for much faster operation of Windows 10 and 11 by typing “CONVERT MBR”. Your UEFI BIOS will love this. Once it completes, on the Command line, type “EXIT”, then type “EXIT” again. This will relinquish control back to you. Now, re – boot the computer, and you will be surprised how fast things happen.

First part had to do with networking and/or disk read/write.. Firewall vectors aren’t a thing…. One has to do with security, the other with high end graphics and/or navigation… Yeah, Luann has no clue what she said.

Okay so to talk about something other than the overused “clean your room” joke, let’s talk about the techno-babble that Luann spews out. What we want to know is if she just said a bunch of actual gibberish, or if it is even close to a meaningful statement. So let’s break it into chunks:

“I need to optimize my buffer prams”: The first thing that jumps out to me is that prams aren’t anything. The best guess I can make is that she’s shortening the word parameters. Let’s give her the benefit of the doubt and say that’s what she was doing. So, she wants to optimize the parameters of her buffer. That SHOULD be fine, but WHAT buffer? There are many a computer could have, and of those she might be talking about there is about only one setting you can change and that’s the size of the buffer. All right so so far this is all sounding like a bit of garbage, but again let’s give her the benefit of the doubt and say that what she’s doing is adjusting the size of a buffer on her computer.

“so they’ll convert embedded firewall vectors”: At first I was thinking of a mathematical vector, but as she’s talking about a firewall perhaps she’s talking about vectors in the medical way. A vector is something that would contain a computer virus and allow it to get on her computer. For example, if she’s downloading illegal movies from an untrusted source, the movie would be the vector of the virus she just infected her computer with. That being said, you still wouldn’t call those types of vectors, “firewall vectors”. The firewall would just try to stop those types of vectors. But sure, the word embedded works with the example I gave. You could have a virus embedded in your illegal movie download. But then it falls apart when she says that her buff is going to convert anything. First buffers don’t DO anything. They hold things so other things can then do things with them. For instance, your Printer Buffer holds print jobs until your printer can print them. Also, convert? To what?

Frank arrives to the “Wait a minute” face only after some time. HAH! Good idea Luann! She just wants to stay in her safe space and be relaxed.

Frank will never figure out how to do that on his DOS machine he is running. Luann once gave him an “Etch – A – Sketch” and told him that it was a laptop computer, and every time it locked up, all he had to do was turn it upside down and shake it.

If one uses big enough words, few will understand what you’re doing.

It’s nice to see Luann displaying some computer skills. But, couldn’t she also at least close her drawers completely and pick up stuff off the floor and make her bed? These are simple common sense tasks you learn when you are eight or nine years old. My parents ALWAYS expected me to keep my room neat. I made my bed every day and put away my toys, etc. once a week I dusted and cleaned the floor starting at around age ten. It’s not THAT hard. I am impressed she’s taking care of her computer. Perhaps she’ll teach dear ole Dad a trick or two about taking care of HIS computer. He needs to be doing that. This is pretty funny today!!!!

I like the way Frank has suddenly detected a certain barnyard odor. Little did he know his daughter could sling the double-talk so glibly.

Not sure of all her terminology but if Luann is so adept at the use of her computer how is it that it was Bern who set up the job search profile for her (after she was let go from Kidz 1st) and initiated the online search? Of course anything can happen on a sunday.
