My Sunday morning mental game… trying to figure out what the multi word pun will be before I get to the last panel. What an impressive amount of work must go into crafting these.

Before I started reading Pastis, I thought puns were funny. But I was familiar with them as spontaneous spoken one-liners. Usually as a completely unexpected comment or question responding to something someone else had said. No set-uo, prompt, no delay. A true art.

That one was good!!

I knew the pun was coming from a mile away. Another pun, another Sunday morning laugh.

I knew it was coming but I can never figure out what it will be at the end.
