Boy i must be living under a rock. Are there fridges out there that will actually ding-a-ling at you ?

They keep the ice cream in the refrigerator?

The fridge is telling you the door is open. You can do whatever you want.

Funny thing is, how does ice cream stay frozen in the refrigerator instead of the freezer?

I ate ice cream tonight and now I’m going to bed. What is the ice cream rule? How many hours are you supposed to wait after eating ice cream before you can go to bed? I ate ice cream 3 hours ago

Does the fridge make a different kind of ding when it’s backing up?

Yes they do and it’s good thing

“I’m a grown man”…but if you eat too much of that ice cream, you may end up an overgrown man!

Technically, the fridge isn’t telling you to shut the door. It’s only informing you that the door is open. It doesn’t care what you do about it.

And it isn’t the Good Humor Ice Cream man.

Earl is a grown man. One would think he’d be use to being told what to do, especially when he is married to Opal.

Pretty big refrigerator too, looks to be 7’+ high. My freezer does not ding but when you close it creates a vacuum that prevents you from reopening it immediately.

At this age, Earl should be able to get a snack without nagging from Opal….

For those of you who don’t pay attention to the art work, you get ice cream from the freezer, not the refrigerator.

My fridge don’t need a ding.. darn thing is on a slope so the door automatically swings shut

You keep ice cream in the FRIDGE..??

My fridge never does that. For me Opal is right, I never eat anything before going to bed, I want to feel empty, I do not get the hunger pains most do. Means my weight is very slow going down. Hard to do math right 4 to 5 years for 14 pound lost and more to go. For me the less I eat the better. Slow metabolism and tiny thyroid gland.

Mine will close on its own.

Yes — it’s annoying when you’re putting groceries away and helpful when you forget to close it after getting… ice cream.
