I don’t know; I’m kind of over white Christian god. Maybe we should give Allah a shot? Or Xenu? Maybe Lavos? At least it has time travel powers (maybe).
Wow, this is 26 years ahead of the times when published in 1995. God (Gop) has a lot of really lousy policies (as Dirk indicates: famine, disease, etc.) while the opponent has good polices (evil, gone), but wins by cheating.
Norm Drucker has also pointed out that he’s worth $10 MILLION and doesn’t need your money. Of course, he started life with a $100 million inheritance, but that’s just trivia. And the continuous fundraising is just because his followers begged him to.
When the Philistines came into possession of the Ark of the Covenant (through Jewish carelessness) God persuaded them to give it back by inflicting the Philistines with a plague, not of boils, but of “emerods”. Not quite clear how that worked. (Also mice.) The Hebrews wanted more than just the Ark, however, and insisted on a sort of peace offering of “five golden emerods and five golden mice”.
Explains a lot. Trump and a lot of his supporters thought he was God, and could ordain the election to go his way. It worked the first time, but not the second.

I’m a Christian, but I can see the humor. Well played, RB.

God is a lot of things, but a democrat (small “d”) is not one of them.

Waffle trees? Pffft. Forget it. Bacon trees? Yes!!!! (Just channeling my inner Jim Gaffigan.)

Or it could be a contest to choose the next God, as in Future Diary or Platinum End.

Did God fix the election at the moment or was it pre-ordained?

Non-stop election campaigns have definitely become a plague in our time.

Love the partial list of Drucker’s new ideas—laughed out loud!

“Evil! Gone! First 100 days!” Replace “evil gone” with “big beautiful health care plan” and I’m having 2016 déjà vu.

Holy cow, talk about prescient. I had to double check the date that it wasn’t 2016.

Norm’s real problem was the lack of divine powers. He needed to perform a few miracles.

In the next election he may have stiffer competition with Doctor Oz.

God, as portrayed here, is behaving a bit like Vladimir Putin (among other autocrats), holding a rigged election that no opponent can ever win.
Or perhaps He was just having one of his little jokes. Hopefully after Drucker conceded, God cured him of his boils.
kaffekup about 3 years ago
I’d have voted for Drucker. He can’t do worse than the current Guy.
He probably wouldn’t have gone golfing for the last 2,000 years, or whatever he’s been doing.

God must be a Republican. He got an underage virgin pregnant and everyone knows it, but the Evangelicals still support him.

His threat to send everyone who voted for his opponent to Hell didn’t help either
