Lousy smarch weather

I’ve you don’t like the weather, wait a minute.

March is the whatever month. Sometimes in the same day.

Can a doctor out there please prescribe something for Mother Nature?

It may help her mood swings.

Up in Oregon we used to call it “The March Uglies”.

Pretty much nailed this weekends weather in Northern Illinois. 70’s Saturday with snow coming Sunday night/Monday Morning. Thankfully not a lot of the white stuff predicted, but we’ll see how that goes.

What I want to know is did the weather forecaster predict the weather you got, or did he just move on the next day as if nothing happened.

The first three days in March are the feast days of Saint David, Saint Chad and Saint Winnaloe. There are rhymes about them that refer to March’s weather:

“First Saint David then Saint Chad,

Then Winnaloe as though he was mad!"

“Saint David and Saint Chad,

Sow seeds good or bad."

This means, of course, that farmers must sow seed at the beginning of March whether the weather is good or bad rather than whether the seed is good or bad.

March comes in like a lamb and goes out like a salt marsh harvest mouse.

Going up to +13 C today. This morning started with freezing rain. Now it’s just raining and they’re calling for snow tonight.

70’s yesterday, snow tonight. Typical Midwest weather.

Pretty much what’s going on here right now, we’ll except the snow, it’s tropical. Good to know it isn’t the Wizard’s work.

In Tiundaland most of the snow has melted. Temp -3° at night and daytime +5°. Sunny with a few clouds.

60F for my morning walk at dawn today. That was our high for the day. It will be in the 30s by tonight, and snow in a few days. What this cartoon shows is what we can get in a day! The wind this morning was awful. My dog refused to walk other than as far as she had to for her needs. We still have some snow and ice on the ground too.

Crazy, it snowed where I am today.

True, definitely nothing new about it.

The legislature is back in session. The thaw has begun.
