I bet this is how the Partridge Family started.

However, in this case, tip may stand for “To Insure Peace.” Instead of “pay to play” it’s :pay to NOT play."

A memory: the one day my siblings & I made a family band. Both sisters & 1 brother played guitar, 1 brother played banjo, another brother played drums, I played tambourine, & baby brother banged on a coffee can; we 3 sisters sang in harmony. It was fun but only lasted the day.
