I remember in the 2nd grade. My hippy, pot smoking, woman loving teacher loved to talk about her life in the 60’s. like there was never a better time to be alive. I kind of get it now. when people talk about the 90’s it seems like it’s not that long ago. but then remember that I just had my 30th high school reunion this year. my daughter is starting to feel it too as she will be watching some of her favorite movies and go. WOW!! That thing came out when I was 4! shes 23.

Somebody is getting home-schooled in Ancient History.

Kids think the Naughties must have been a great decade – it’s in the name.

When the music I listened to as a teen is referred to as “Golden Oldies”, I feel like a Granny…and I AM NOT A Granny. lol The sixies and seventies music were the greatest decades ever. No rap, no hip-hop, no techno. Just plain old rock and roll…which kids still listen to. The Beatles, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Moody Blues, Billy Joel, Bob Seger, Iron Butterfly, Jefferson Airplane.

My son came home from school one day talking about how they were studying music history. I thought Bach or Beethoven. He said Beatles.

The first time I heard one of the songs from my high school era played on the oldies station, I nearly cried.

Wouldn’t it be great if teachers actually reviewed history in context of the times?

Must enjoyed it, if they’re still dressed that way.

Wanda should relax and rewind, with a movie on VHS.

The local weathergirl here posted a picture of herself one day wearing her grandmother’s “vintage” jacket…from the 90s. I’ll get my cane and hobble away now.

Speaking of the 90’s, Baby Blues started in 1990, right? Time passes very slowly in comic strips. If it did not, Zoe would be 33 now.

I remember watching the Beatles perform for the first time on the Ed Sullivan Show. Those were the better times then. Cars had style!

I’m 73 and I’m in a band playing songs that are 50 years old and older and we still get a crowd when we play.

In a Zits episode, Walt commented on the size of Jeremy’s backpack, comparing it to the backpack when he was in school. Jeremy replied that there is a lot more to study now, adding “History alone has, like, doubled.”

Does experiencing the 90s still count if you were only a toddler back then?

I suppose for someone as young as Zoe, it could be considered ancient history.

Wanda, when you are Zoe’s Age in 2023, the 90’s are Ancient History.

Zoe is right.

Sweetie, I graduated from high school in 1976.

It was over 30 yrs ago, Wanda.

It’s a bit jarring to go to a history museum and see bits of your life on display.
