I hadn’t had my first three cups of coffee when I read this, so I wandered through it in ignorant bliss, and the punch line took me totally by surprise. Good job, Pastis.

I’m with Rat on this one, blame the pig. Though Rat was just itching for a chance to hit Goat, he was restraining himself as they were both in costume. But Pig had to say “Hit a Homer.”

However, I question Pig telling Goat as Homer to write another book. Did Homer ever write a single book? I know his two epic poems are published today in book form. But when he wrote them did he write them in book form or as a group of scrolls?
