Toni’s look is a little more suggestive than just “closeness” … but anyway, what Levi is ignoring is the idea that showing them specifically getting intimate isn’t a big deal if one assumes they’ve already had carnal knowledge of each other. IF it was a "first time’ thing like some suggest, then yes it would be. But if they’ve been behaving like normal healthy 20-somethings, then there’s no need to make a point of “doing it”, as they’ve already been there.

Well, I’m in my own camp, the one Greg refers to as not wanting to see it in comics (although I have no problem with Frank and Nancy doing it, as they are married)… But, don’t get me wrong… I wasn’t saying it for just that reason… I’m saying thst it.s not neccessarily a sure sign, because I’ve seen that some will “flirt” or “touch”, and only mean it to be s sign of affection, while some do perceive it as more… – I was one who was active, but now see the value of waiting till marriage… but My point here is a bit separate from that, in that a look in the eyes and certain touches are sometimes done in place of waiting (touches that are acceptable in public/private) and can be regarded as intimate… To me, it’s the beauty of Greg’s approach… depicting things thay can be seen both ways, which seems to be for the purpose of appeasing everyone….

Keep ‘em straight buddy.The rest of us may suspect because we remember what we— err I mean others — did, but we don’t know what they don’t show. (I’m not even certain Brad has fleas.)

Thank you Greg for a very sweet story arc. The neandrathals here who want to see some “action” need to look at their own lives and stop making silly comments here. I’ve been a fan of Luann’s since the beginning. I usually don’t comment.

No, but isn’t engagement, marriage, courtship, “boyfriend/girlfriend”, each a different type of relationship? One kind may be more serious than another, but they’re each still a relationship… a husband and wife can still date, but they are now married, whereas engaged and those going steady also date….

Greg has a tendency to keep us on the edge wanting more, but he seldom delivers.

I guess its a thing of what does one see engagement as… To me, I.ve come to value engagement as a sure sign of getting married, and are more committed than boyfriend/girlfriend, but heading towards marriage and not backing out (save for serious needs/issues), and also not yet for enjoying those privileges marriage affords…

I was actually making a play on two things: a song by Parliament, called “Agony Of De Feet”, with all sorts of foot puns… and also the ol standard sports phrase, with the Lovers’ twist…sort of…

Hey Leviticus. The Bible book, Leviticus, is focused on God’s laws. Are you a mind reader to know what Brad wants, at least for that moment. He really looks to be content, he certainly has dreams for the future as does Loni. But for now he’s content.

And that threw me, for example, when I visited a close friend and his extended family in Belgium. My friend’s niece, maybe 10-12 at the time we first met, was now 23-24 and seeing someone, who accompanied her when the family came over to visit. She described the gentleman as her “fiancé.” I started looking for a ring but didn’t see one. The family immediately told me that, in their context, it meant only “steady BF” and not “engaged.”

How sweet— they both want to use Brad’s mom & dad as role models.*How interesting— Toni must remember her own parents before they were killed. Why doesn’t she want to emulate them?
