Tiffany told Luann (during their work in the after school program for the Elementary kids) that her dad insisted that she attend Moony. Tiffany did not seem happy, but she does what he wants for her to do. If Tiffany wanted to go, she would have gloated immediately, about her getting in…..

Tiffany will do good. After all, she’s the DRAMA QUEEN!

Can we expect that Tiffany will have a wing of the drama department at Moony U. named after her thanks to her dad’s “contribution”?

Luann may be confident at this point, but as days go by with her at the community college and Quill in the same department as Tiffany At Municipal University (a.k.a. “Moony Uni”), she may find her assurance diminishing….

And almost none of them deserves to be called anactress.

Um, what’s so great about Luann, especially compared to Tiffany? Luann appears to be a girl of indifferent personality and achievements with no goals or course in life. Meanwhile, Tiffany is a confident, hard-working go-getter who has been willing to take concrete steps toward her career and life goals.

Guess who actually knows what she wants to do with her life? Guess who has a better long term plan than being someone’s girlfriend? Tiffany. -P.S. Most kids’ parents help pay for tuition.

Very few High School romances stand a chance once the participants get to college. Too much change, too many new faces, to much growing up, etc. If the people are at different colleges, forget it!

Tiffany will major in drama at Moony. Based on her high school experiences, Luann will probably major in “Guys” at Pitt CC. Who knows, maybe she will meet someone there who will make her forget all about Quill, Aaron, etc.

Sounds like Luann and Quill have…ahem…“sealed the deal”.

Everybody needs a goal in life. So Tiffany is going to college to try to take Quill away from Luann. With Luann not around – Tiff might have a shot at it. But she’ll have to be smarter about it – it’s not just the makeup.

So right. Anyone who has read this strip for years knows that Luann has always been boy-crazy. Not much else has mattered to her (which explains her numerous visits to Ms. Phelps’s office), so yeah, she’s practically a wife-and-mom-in-training.

Some feel a moral obligation to read this low-class comic strip and uninformed comments out of an obligation to enlighten us, the great unwashed, as to why we should not enjoy it and what a poor artist its creator is..They suffer greatly in their attempt to lead us to the promised land of literary appreciation.I feel ashamed of myself for not being a convert to their philosophy — or I would if I took them as seriously as they take themselves.

I hope Tiffany is done with making a fool out of herself for Quill. I actually think she’s moved on from that. But it would be an interesting plot twist if Bernice and Quill fell for each other…

I got nothing against Tiffany.Sometimes people tell you you did well out of kindness rather than honesty.Tiffany competes with Luann out of habit and went after Quill even after he let her know he was not interested.

You’ve got a point there. In most media, including comic strips, girls and women have been portrayed as boy-crazy, husband-hunting, shopaholic, and empty-headed people, when in fact, we’re more complex and better-rounded than that. But that’s no surprise, considering that almost all of the people who have portrayed us that way are men. For years, and unfortunately, even now, we’ve seen ourselves caricatured through the eyes of men.

About your father passing away…I am ever so sorry for the loss of your father. May he indeed rest in peace. It must have been so difficult for you to watch him struggle these past few months… ;)
