The “tracks of those tears” between them there seem to resemble more so an interstate junction…. – And, uh…. Frankie Vali and the Four Seasons lied to me!…..Or… maybe somebody lied to them… – To us guys, a tearful moment is like a game of Fizzbin…we’re not sure of all the rules, yet…sometimes, we wonder if you gals are “making ’em up as you go along”…

I think Nancy may be overdoing it a bit on this “proud” aspect. The fact that Knute is graduating too shows that this “accomplishment” of getting a Pitts degree consists simply of staying alive for 12 years.

Yeah, I know… I was joking about the goggles! They say there’s a zillion ways to cut an onion to reduce tears, but due to the process that you mentioned, none are truly going to be 100% effective… – Actually, onions don’t bother me… I even like them raw (cooked, as well)….. my wife “hunkers down” in dread, when it’s time for a Gyro…

So, in your opinion, a minion will cut the best onion… but do they have to be in a union?

Don’t worry, with Frank’s camera you won’t be able to tell that they have tears on their faces…or that they have faces.

    Ah, POOR Nancy.

    The “Crying Season” Has begun.

At Luann’s High School Graduation, Nancy Wept and Cried. At Luann’s College Graduation, Nancy will Weep and Cry.At Luann’s announcement that She’s engaged to Pretty Boy, Nancy will Weep and Cry.When Luann INEXPLICABLY Marries Him, Nancy will Weep and Cry.When Luann HAS Her 1st Child, Nancy will Weep and Cry.

And Luann Leaves Mr. Oz because “things aren’t quite working out like she wanted and She and the Kid, need to MOVE back in with Mom and Dad until She SORTS Things Out,” Nancy Will Weep and Cry.

I never understood—and still don’t understand—all the fuss about high school graduation. Did Luann’s parents ever seriously think she wouldn’t graduate from high school?

I never understood tears of joy because in six decades I have not personally experienced them. The photo of me going over the finish line at my first marathon shows me gleefully excited, but I didn’t cry. Ditto the photos of me when my son married his longtime girlfriend, when I exclaimed “At last! She is finally part of our family!” Crying makes other people uncomfortable and it makes one’s body work harder to keep from getting sick. Crying from onions doesn’t count as a real cry unless you rub the onion juices into your eyes. Now that would be something to cry about.

    ~

Bernice’s parents exist. After all, they gave life to her and her brother. Because parents are expected to mete out discipline, they usually play a minor roll in a story about young people, if they are featured at all. Frank and Nancy and sometimes Gunther’s mom are enough right now.

We do know a lot about Bernice’s parents. Even theirpersonal drama..So they do exist. .And we have seen her brother, who should be at the graduation. If he does not appear and hug Luann aswell, it is IMO a missed opportunity to add new some interest here.

Yeah, either #3 or #7 (which I think is the closest to what he actually selected). I absolutely don’t care for the Tiff “Wagner-Opera/Firefighter Helmet”

I think glasses are fine for Bernice, but she really needs different frames. These two TV-screens-joined-in-the-middle are not a good look for her (and likely not for anyone else, either).

We saw the inside of Bernice’s house a couple times in the mists of the past. Once she and Lu were hanging out there, and once the phone was ringing and Bernice was saying, “Will someone please answer that??” (She was hoping Dirk? would call.) I’m sure Levi remembers that one.
