Reminds me of a song from They Must Be Giants: “Don’t Let’s Start” (♫)… – Also, CCR with “Someday Never Comes” (♫)… – Also reminds me of one of the articles from a real life paper that Jay Leno used on his ’Headlines" bit, that said something to this effect: “We came together to go over our plans… our plan was to plan out how we would further plan our planning initiatives”…

Moral of the story: if you must make New Year’s resolutions, resolve to do something that you might actually be able to accomplish. (Instead of jogging, try some simple exercises right in the comfort of your warm, well-lighted home, for example..)

I ride for transportation, and I ride all year. I’m in the south, so it isn’t as bad. But I’ve been known to ride to church in <20 degree weather.

And for anyone unfamiliar, riding along at 10 – 15 mph increases wind chill like you wouldn’t believe. I rode to the store just last night at under 40 degrees, and that is cold enough on a bicycle.

Oh DON’T Stop with the Reasons THERE, Frank.

September – “I had to Work Overtime to Pay for Luann’s College Tuition.”

October – “I had to Rake Leaves and Work Overtime.”

November – “I had to Rake Leaves, Work Overtime, and Bring Home Food for Thanksgiving Dinner.”

December – "I had to Finish Raking Leaves, Work Overtime, Decorate AND, Bring Home Food for Christmas, Then Shovel Snow Because a Certain Person in THIS House is Too “Busy” asking Me Questions than to go Out and get a Job to Help Ends MEET!"

Lent is the time for resolutions. Then you can stop doing them on Easter. Maybe, just maybe, after 40 days (Sundays off), you will find that your self-imposed penance wasn’t so bad after all, and you can continue in moderation going forward.

Also, incremental steps work. I really hate to run, but need to pass a test involving a two-mile run twice a year. Some years ago, I ran around my block on Ash Wednesday. Adding one block every day got me up to 2.5 miles in just a few weeks. Now, I do the whole 2.5 miles from day one every spring.

At least he didnt join a gym. Every year I watch the flow and ebb of the resolutioners at my gym. And I bet the majority of that ebb are still paying $$ per month for something they dont ever use.

I don’t think Nancy is that shallow. If one of your main reasons for divorce is because you think your partner isn’t attractive enough then either your probably using that as an excuse for something else, or you probably should have never married in the first place.-In this strip all I see is Nancy reminding Frank about his failed resolution, in a kind of sarcastic way, to get him re-motivated (but while knowing he’ll probably just continue sitting on the couch).- In which other strips does Greg foreshadow divorce? They seem like a happy couple.

Did I just overlook it, or has nobody made a comment about global-warming all day? Bytheway… This looks like the lowest turnout for Luann in a long time.

Never seen Frank look so much like Brad before. If men marry their mothers, women must marry their husbands’ fathers….
