I don’t think I’d try on a rubber mask in a store either. I’m going to wear a nice black velvet wrap dress and an enormous hat that I painted black. I’ve had the hat for years and never worn it – (mother bought it from S. America and it’s so silly, straw 30" dia. and 22" tall). All I had to buy for my costume was a can of black spray.
