Tia dreams a déjà vu dream!

Somehow I don’t trust that slicker. I don’t want our tia marrying him just on impulse. I am hoping for a dream sequence or that this is a daydream as he is talking and she says “no”.

As has been pointed out before, the strip goes into “fantasy” mode when Tia and Gregorio are drawn “realistically,” - always when there’s just the two of them together - as they were in the strips at the end of March. They reverted to their “comic” personas when Baldo showed up. Maybe the glamorous, realistic Tia and Gregorio is how the gullible Tia sees them…
My guess is that Gregorio is a con-man. Tia has money, right? Remember how she was targetted by the lottery swindlers not long ago?

will this turn out like the old nighttime soap Dallas?
or is this a real event?

From the drawing style… looks “real”. I’m not sure how much money Tia Carmen really has, though - Don’t forget, she’s “known” Gregorio for some time - at least they see each other a lot at the market. Does Gregorio own or co-own the market? Seems like he does….

It seems like if they were really getting married, Tia Carmen would want her family at the wedding.

Tia isn’t drawn “realistically” here - only Gregorio. I’ve been sort of confoozled since this arc started.

I think Gregorio is still technically toony. He doesn’t look as realistic as when both he and Tia are drawn that way.
