Maybe there ARE lots of deranged people out there, but they all have GUNS! If you arm everyone, you tend to have shoot-outs where hundreds just start firinig at everyone else.

A friend on Facebook posted statistics showing the US has more weapons than every army and individual in the rest of the world combined. It was supposed to be a good thing; contrasted with Iraq, where in ISIS-controlled areas they are banning all guns.
Yep, no marauding armies terrorizing the countryside here! Must be all the weapons!

The irony here is that the Eddie Eagle program teaches kids (up to about third grade) to treat a gun like they’d treat a rattle snake: Absolutely don’t touch it; instead: leave the area and tell a trusted adult about it.

In the old west, plenty of towns such as Dodge City and Tombstone required people to check their guns with the local constabulary. How’s that for gun control?
