Luann should skip Quill’s theater thing to help here. Remodeling the new performance space is a big commitment to the benefit of everybody including Luann & Quill.

I’d be surprised if Luann even invited Tiffany to help out — though I’d expect Ox to ask her. Then again, if Luann is hung up at work, Tiffany may be hung up by the same thing.

Frank and Nancy are not too bad off for a first day. Knute is experienced and enthusiastic; this is one job he will do well. And Oxford has plenty of brute strength and willingness to help however he’s directed.Go for broke!

That’s the problem with free help: they’re rarely free to help.

Well, fellow commenters, here’s my take on the GoComics site problem: Yesterday it started repeating commenters’ messages. My theory is that an employee (or committee) was told to remove the “Find a comic/SEARCH” section at the top of the page, and just leave the bottom one (except for the first time someone signs on). That way, we have to see all the ads, from top to bottom. In the process, the “repeat” process was activated and the “Reply” function was trashed. Also, all the comments were often re-repeated at the end. (Maybe this person [or committee] was a refugee from Amazon, still in shock.)

I have been sending this message around to the sites I read:News flash: For the second day, the doppelgänger hacker is on the prowl! Whatever you post will be repeated. Just delete one of the posts, and all will be well.

The site will not let me reply to comments. Is anyone else having this trouble?

When Luann asked everyone to be there, they would have known and told her at that time that they had conflicting schedules. Bad planning and communication.

7Well, even though the warehouse arc is still not one of my favorite on-going arcs in “Luann”, I do again have to say that today’s comic is good. I think it will potentially be a riot having Ox and Knute both working on things. I predict they will be akin to a new age “Laurel and Hardy”.

This looks like it’s going to get ugly. :(

This is why volunteer efforts don’t always succeed – volunteers can’t always be as available as they hope. If people expect them to stay later at a job (where they are being paid), or they have family commitments, the volunteer effort ends up with a lower priority.

Even the most dedicated volunteers have to honor other commitments. If there is a time crunch on a project, it’s always best to hire someone.
