The lingerie party is over, but the rear end kicking party is about to begin. I don’t think there is going to be a band, but there will be music.Go Tiff, Go Tiff!!
So here is the set-up. Will it be a knockout. Where will Les be? Does he know something Tiff does not? Or that Ann does not? Who is he really loyal too? What did Tiffany do? One this I have noticed is that Ann can be over confident, but then is a newly resurrected confidence for Tiffany be overconfidence? Oh the humanity!! Oh the cliff-hangerness!! TKO,or knockout?
It would’ve been smarter for Tiff to expose Ann in front of the women she was about to swindle before they made their purchases. She could also have recruited former victims such as Luann, Dez and Tara. But then the words ‘Tiffany’ and ‘smart’ seldom appear in the same sentence.
Tiffany is most vulnerable. Ann is a snake backed into a corner. All Tiffany has to support her case is dirty underwear. This is where Tiffany leaves in the trunk of Ann Eiffels car.
I wonder if Tiff’s dad will make an appearance during this arc. It might be a good way for Tiff to put Ann “out of business”, both professionally and personally!
Did Tiffany wear a camera and recorder? Can she blackmail Ann into refunding everyone’s money? Will Tiffany’s dad call off the engagement when Tiffany shows him Ann’s true nature? Stay tuned. Pretty good how Greg and Karen have turned Tiffany into a sympathetic character.
Why does Tiffany announce this right after those women spent HUNDREDS of dollars and got ripped off? It would have been better to embarrass Ann during the show and announce loudly that the products are counterfeit! The entire show would have flopped, people would have been furious, would have walked out, word would have spread that this is a scam and that would be it. And better yet…I would have told Luann’s parents (the owners of the Fuse) what was going on and see how THEY wanted to handle it. I’m sure they don’t want such an event at their place. Let THEM be the ones to call the cops….
OK, let the games begin! I think my money is on Les to turn on his mother. Perhaps not to gain favor with Tiff, but to gain favor with Uncle Al, who has the financial interest in The Fuse. His mother only pays him $80.00 for each of these events. But I bet that doesn’t even cover the monthly court payments he owes her. Perhaps, he thinks he can do better with Uncle Al, once he demonstrates that he tried to save the Fuse from legal/financial issues. We’ll see.
The odd thing about frauds like Annie’s is that until the day of reckoning, everyone is happy – Eiffel makes a ton of $$ and the ladies believe they got an absurdly good deal.
I’m hopeful Tiffany used her phone to record key moments of the evening and has now called the police. I’m also hopful the De Groots don’t suffer for hosting illegal activities.
Wouldn’t be surprised if Tiff merely confronted Ann with her uncovering of the scam along with any recording she has to get her “to leave Dodge” and her father rather than have her arrested, etc.
There’s lots of reasons one could think of, for calling the police, or the DeGroots, or both, even!
-
But there’s also lots of good reasons for a private… “meeting”…afterward. Among them, the possibility that Ann, who is manipulative, ever scheeming, authoritative, charming (just ask the men in her life [cough! Tiffany’s Dad!] and these ladies who literally bought what she said), and confident and brazen enough to work almost any angle in business and personal settings could turn this around on Tiffany, in front of even the cops and the DeGroots, or others….even the ‘customers’. For them, it could be shades of Bill Withers’ “Use Me”….
Okay I’m Torn Here. I Love the “New” Tiffany but I also like Ann Eiffel, the ULTIMATE VAST Luanniverse Villain. There’s NEVER a dull moment when she’s lurking.
With Ann there’s never any pussy-footing, squirmy “shades of grey” like it is with her Punk of a “son.” It’s either Black or White with Her, and She looks GREAT in Her Villainous Black.
Soooo, what could Ann possibly do to stop my beloved Tiffany in Her tracks? Hmmmmmmmm……, I got it:
Tiffany – “So, You WILL refund Me My friend’s $400.00, leave town and never, ever, EVER see My father again, and pay Les His $80.00 for his night’s work, or I go to the Cops, Got it?!!?”
Ann – "Oh there’s a little “problem” there, “dearie.” Your Father and I got married last week in Rio! If I leave now, I get two-thirds of his property. Besides, He was going to Surprise You! So, SURPRISE!!! Oh and we’ve converted your old room to an expanded closet, so you’ll have to go live with Uncle Al and Aunt Irma in that guest house they’re going to build! Isn’t that lovely?"
Les – "Three Questions: 1) Can I still “date” my stepsister? 2) How do I get rid of Gunther? 3) Can I stay in the guest house with Tiffany?"
Tiffany is certainly NOT going to confront Ann alone. Who will her back up be? I’d guess Mr. Gray. Or TJ, or the cops, or Nancy, or Toni, or Pru, or Tiff’s dad. It would be very dangerous for Tiffany to do this alone.
I might have missed a comment on these, but – - in the first frame it is clear Les knows someone is stil inside. And the silhouette appears to be wearing something different from what Tiff came in with – -

I’m playing a bunch of different scenarios in my mind. One where Tiff has alerted Nancy and Frank and they come out from the shadows with cops and Mr. Gray. Another where Les tipped off his mom that Sheraton is Tiffany and says, “Sorry Tiff.” There are so many ways this can play out. I hope we won’t be disappointed.

One thing about Annie that can’t be denied: she’s a convincing sales person. Another night of big sales/bigger profits at the Lingerie Party. Rhonda. Lori, and the nameless others all have bundles of knock-off expensive undies. But WAIT! Sheraton St. Louis remains behind and makes the stereotypical movie-hero quip. Now, the cat-fight begins in earnest. Who will prevail? What part will Leslie play?
Some commenters are missing the point. Tiffany holds the cards here. She certainly doesn’t need witnesses, since the testimony of the buyers would be about Annie fraudulently claiming a knockoff was genuine. And I think Les will protect Tiff, if it comes to that, which it won’t. Also the story line of Les and Gunther vying for Tiffany’s attention seems very promising.
Again, I want Tiffany to win this.Yes, she can be recording. The DeGroots, Luann, Dez, Tiara, and Mr. Gray could have all come into The Fuse by another door. Security cameras. Police. Pru should see what her kindness has wrought. The items were sold, so there was a crime committed—not merely intent (which is what a premature confrontation could bring).Would be great if Tiffany’s father was there, too. The last nail in Ann’s coffin for this escapade.
Regarding Les’s loyalties, Les is currently in debt to his mother because he ran up a big bill on her credit card and she pressed charges. So the money she’s paying him is insignificant to what he has to repay her. Now, if Ann got arrested for fraud, Les could probably get the court to at least consider cancelling his remaining debt.
If Tiffany IS recording (she’d better be doing that), than this would be most similar to the reveal TJ got from Ann E. some time before, when his smart phone recorded her saying, “This is Ann Eiffel.”, right?
I wonder if Tiffany has been in contact with the Souffle Lingerie people and there may have been some reps from the company in the crowd. Perhaps those ‘new faces’? Maybe Tiffany(and the officers hiding in a backroom monitoring hidden security cameras) had to wait until money had actually changed hands in order to lower the boom.

OK, to get in on a few comments here. Rhonda and Lori do look like caricatures, thought so before coming to comments. Tiffany will try and fail to trap Ann, but Rhonda and Lori are back for a reason, someone’s having a “life changing event” and I think it will be Ann.

Okay, the moment of truth is upon us.
The big question is where does “Leslie’s” loyalty lie? His Mom or our lovely Heroine?
If this had been the Old Slimmer Hotter Tiff, then there’d be no question. It would be Bye, Bye Mom, with extreme prejudice.
But to Me he still seems to be weighting “The money or Tiffany?” And if He has to “think” about it…….,
PS: You Noticed the Two Panel Strips of Late. Will tomorrow just be One panel with Tiffany Shouting “Got ’cha!!”??

If Tiffany had secretly (to us poor readers) called in the cavalry before starting tonight, TJ or even Mr. Grey could have had everything recorded.
And Tiff’s uncharacteristic scarf could be hiding the mike.
