The difficult words they use, is because they don’t understand either what’s happening. Nowadays, journalism is no longer an investigative journalism, but just parroting journalism. Whether news is fake depends on their source. So, while journalists should be a part of the solution, they are definitely not the cause. It’s like police in gang country, they should maintain law and order, but they prefer watching (and shooting) from a distance. People like the orange man are the questionable sources. He proved it a few days ago.
Just remember, the media stations get paid by having high ratings. Stayed tuned, when we come back, find out if we will have snow in Miami in August! None of them make money reporting the truth.
Panelists are not journalists. They are paid for their opinions about the news. I don’t see how people can say that someone’s opinion is news. All of us have opinions. The only difference is that we don’t get paid to espouse our opinions, and they do get paid. The louder they are, the more money they get.
I’ve heard “blithering spokesmodel” referred to as “spokesbimbo”. I wonder if they have to go to some special school to learn to keep their legs crossed just so on camera, always with that little hint that there may be a Sharon Stone moment in the offing.
I suppose that even a specialist in exaggeration, parody, and satire sometimes wants simply to take a matter-of-fact snapshot of the current environment………
I’m a bit disappointed that Wiley didn’t properly depict the desk as some huge plastic thing from Star Trek. He might have also done a Wiley floor trap door. For this modern media, I still faithfully sample all offerings, to at least know what my fellow citizens are soaking up. But I run out of patience when the host announces an “exclusive” bit coming right up – and then does so three more times over another twenty minutes. For a quick immediate look at all but local breaking news, the internet rules, now includes the same video, and has functional ad-blocking. And Wiley!
And without his being in any way political about it, Wiley has (once again) jabbed a large portion of the Great American Unwashed in the butt with a very pointy stick. I often wonder, when I happen to glimpse one of the ‘talking heads’ these days, how many of them really might be animations. We do have the technology now … and it sure would be a lot cheaper for the media companies …

Where’s the Fox News guy that shouts down anybody that gives an opposing view?
But we know why the fact-checking guy is missing.

People need to pay more attention to what is done than to what is said. And even more attention to what isn’t done.
