“Three” is a Magic Number … ✨

oh, we cannot wait to hear what kind of grades Bernice gets on this paper of hers.

I almost made a comment on Bern’s observation, but after some of the reactions to my comment yesterday, I better not.

That’s just one of the things I love about Tiffany. She never does just the bare minimum. Bernice asked for just three descriptive words, and Tiffany went over and above to give her a few more. She’s a true friend to try to help Bernice as much as she can. Even when it comes to putting on her makeup, Tiffany doesn’t do just the bare minimum.

I like the “humble” part…

Actually One could use a line from the Grinch’s Theme song that would fit perfectly. Especially if She’s Daffy enough to start dating Les:

I know eyebrows on the hair is one of his trademarks. Not passing the suspension of disbelief test with me today.

Some students, like Bernice, would spend that time studying, Tiff has her priorities right, she uses the time on hair and makeup. She knows what her future depends on.

Run Bernice while you still can.

Bernice doesn’t listen either. She is being judgmental so she will not make a good counselor. If she listened, she would ask herself why Tiffany ignores questions and/or instructions and talks over people and then she will ask leading questions to get Tiffany to reveal things about her background.

When you are that fascinating, it’s hard to stop at just three.

I have the same problem myself.

I can understand how tiffany dresses, if you got it flaunt it. But to say she’s humble is a bit of a stretch. The push up bra, skin tight stretch pants that look like their painted on, and the over-embellishment. Tiff she only asked for 3 words, learn to listen and count.

Tiffany is really rocking the zaftig look!

And she STILL has helmet hair.

She’s regressing O_O Just when she developed some depth, she’s reverting back to her “shallow as the Gobi Desert” ways. Yeah she was shallow before, but at least since college you could get your ankles wet when you stepped in her personality.

Tiffany got interesting when she was challenged – by Ann – and later by Gunther. Free Range Tiffany winds up running in place.

The name of this strip should be changed to Tiffany since it appears that everything revolves around her. It WAS nice that we got a 5 (?) day respite from the life of Tiffany and all thoses who want to be in her presence. Why?? She a vapid ex-cheerleader. She’s shallow. She’s vain. She only cares about herself. Why do so many want her in their lives? Go back to the story with Shannon. At least there’s a reason she behaves badly. She’s too young to know better.

Tiffany is ever so humble. You’d almost think she has very low self esteem.

Sounds like a date app description. Kind of sad when a person uses that to describe themselves. Tiffany is describing her super ego in Freudian terms, her image of herself to others, but there is nothing that shows any ability to really get into her true ego, true sense of self. Maybe she will get mad, and we will see her ID, although I doubt it. But she is a drawn character, so you can only carry Freudian analysis so far.

But you have to learn how to do it, Bernice. From this point of view, Tiffany was really the best choice.

It’s been a long time since I was in college, but what I remember of the Psych classes I took was that when we were supposed to interview anyone, we were told to pick strangers, or people we didn’t know well. It was suggested that our existing opinions about long term friends or acquaintances would somewhat distort our conclusions, or that we wouldn’t really listen and would report what we expected to hear…

Is it just me? Does Tiffany look “Thinner” than 6 months ago?

While there is ample humor here today in Tiffany’s very verbose descriptions… I am wondering why Greg is choosing to have Tiffany be so thoroughly “retro”…. meaning… the pre-college type of Tiffany who was rather vapid? In yesterday and today there seems to no longer be even a glimmer of the more thoughtful, somewhat more insightful and introspective Tiffany that has been shown to us during her time at Moony.

Ah, so today is Greg’s Birthday! Happy Birthday Mr. Evans and many thanks for many years of outstanding entertainment!

Say, if Greg was born on Nov., 13th, then THAT makes Him a Scorpio and Scorpios RULE!

Scorpios are said to be Resourceful, Brave, Passionate and a True Friend.

They also like Truth, Facts, Being Right, Long time friendships, and “Teasing” (100% right, on that score)

On the other hand, They don’t get along well with Libras, which might explain Tiffany’s current status. And You certainly DON’T want to Cross a Scorpion. EVER!

As Sheriff once said, Tiff could burn down an orphanage and you people would still defend her. It’s really very funny in a pathetic sort of way. Please keep it up, you people are more entertaining than the strip sometimes. :D :D :P

Bern cannot see Tiff as herself but only what she thinks she “should” be.

Bernice should let Tiffany talk about herself for a couple of minutes, then ask the question again. “So Tiffany, which of those three words would you pick to describe yourself?”

She’s a legend in her own mind.

Tiffany is indeed highly disillusioned.

Why is Tiffany acting like this AGAIN? We’re already seen from not so long ago comics that she’s VERY capable of not being an air-head, of caring for people other than herself, of being a good friend. Why have her regress like this?

ElaineFisherManning, and many, many others: I posited yesterday that, apparently, the purpose of this week’s arc was exactly that: To regress Tiffany back to her high school days, and maybe beyond!

Just as GnK have done to just about all the original characters in this strip. Bernice was spared, quite possibly because she was never allowed to progress in the first place.

The only characters that appear to be allowed to “progress” – or at least become likable, are new characters, such as known-criminal-and-bully Les, also-criminal-but-adventure-lover Tara, and former jock-and-klutz Jack.

Perhaps we are witnessing characters about to be written out of the strip!

This is an assignment for Bernice – something she is to learn from. It may be the beginning of Bernice learning that counseling may not be the best fit for her as she is right now… and possibly ever.

Tiffany seems particularly relaxed in the interview. Sign of a true pro.

Tiffany spent a lot of time & effort memorizing that speech.

And, if you interrupt her before she’s finished, she’ll have to start Over from the beginning because she doesn’t know how to pick up where she left off.

The 3 words I’d want to hear are “ready, willing, and able.”

I guess it makes sense that Bern would choose Tiffany for this interview assignment. Tiffany is someone she has attempted to analyze, i.e. during the time she isolated herself and did nothing but eat junk food. So Tiff is a continuing project for Bern. I’m guessing that one of the questions will be leading in some way, i.e. “are there any men in your life?” so that it allows us to learn if she has feelings for any guy (Gunther, Les, Jack??)

Head shots cost about $250 a session, last I checked. So they are rather expensive to just hand out to anyone. Also, Tiff clearly did put a lot of thought into what image she is trying to project and how to manage the interview to put her in the best light, and I kind of have to respect that. Bernice should try giving a couple interviews and seeing how “friendly” and “nice” the press can be before she gets too judgmental. It is a little odd that she is near 20 and has never given any thought to job interviews to prepare her for this, as almost all advice suggests having your interview questions & answers memorized and polished, which Tiff clearly has down. What is this school prepping her for? Unemployment lines? In short, Tiff is as usual, treating this from a professional standpoint and Bernice is, as usual, treating this from a non professional/throwaway school assignment standpoint.

Bernice is much more interested in herself, and in the questions she poses, than she is in Tiffany, and the answers she gives. Bernice would be an absolutely terrible counselor, but then we already knew that. On the other hand, the enthusiasm and dedication with which she preforms her RA responsibilities to a degree far beyond the call of duty shows that she has great promise as a prison guard.

Hey, Bernie! Did you want to interview Tiffany Farrell, Sheraton St. Louis, or not?
