Puddles sure isn’t the Grinch’s dog Max when trying to pull a heavy-loaded sleigh all by himself.

Maybe it’d be easier with eight more dogs pulling the wagon.

Sunday is G & K’s day off as well. They don’t have to come up with anything interesting.

This holiday strip is in extremely poor taste. Showing Puddles being mistreated. Luann should get off her duff and stop it!!

Shannon is a mean kid.

Judy is being cruel to Puddles and all Luann is doing is siting down not trying to get Judy to stop.

Only the very best reindeer allowed.

Hopefully Puddles will give up in a few seconds – and then Shannon will have to find something else to do.

Gotta ask Santa for a bigger dog.

I wish GoComics offered readers a chance to block hater posts, like ArcaMax does.

Puddles is mad because he does not have antlers as part of his ensemble. That pink ribbon is not helping, either (not that he can probably tell, but still).

Puddles is a little old for that job.

If I put a cup of coffee or tea on the arm of the sofa like that I’d soon have a mess to clean up.

Dammit – I thought we were DONE with the “Shannon” character. She is not cute – just annoying as hell. Lose her, PLEASE.

And once again, “Father of the Year,” Jonah Daytona DUMPS his kid on somebody else, and at Christmas Time yet, the LOUSE!

On a positive Note, Luann really looks Cute, Curled up and Barefoot on the couch. And she’s smart, to boot.

I wonder “who” the “Lucky Guy,” will eventually be?

If I were Puddles, the moment I saw Shannon coming toward me, I would have ran as fast as my little paws could take me!

Puddles needs to leave a puddle and more from all of that straining. Lighten the load so to speak.

Poor Puddles, with Shannon trying to be Santa, he get’s to do all the work. When Shanoon goes on to something else, Luann should give him some extra treats.

Tune in tomorrow when Puddles, who’s got to be 20 years old by now, drops dead of a heart attack.

If the dog didn’t want to pull the wagon he wouldn’t pull it. Shannon is not forcing the dog to do it. He would just sit down and not move. I love seeing Shannon, she is so cute and creative. If Puddles was being abused, Luann would certainly stop it.

Given Puddles’ current status as a “senior”, I’m waiting for the howls of indignation from some camps about the abuse he’s enduring here…..

Puddles is trying to be a “good dog”, which means doing what he’s told to do. He will try very hard to obey his owners (and their surrogates), even if he hurts himself in the process. Shannon is just a selfish and thoughtless kid, but Luann’s sitting there and just watching her poor dog strain in agony is unforgivable. Did the writers actually think we would laugh at this?

Someone said the dog is gonna have a heart attack.Better than having to put him to sleep. And he is one anachronism that stays. They will not write the dog out over a gag panel like today. I had a dog for 16 years. He was amazing. Smart, playful, and this 9 year old would wrestle with him, tie him to my bike so he could go running with me on the trail. All ‘CRUEL’ things of course. I was 23 when He was released from life. Got him at 7.

Another was 17, she was a saint. She practically drowned herself once when camping I threw a stick into the lake, She dove in, grabbed what she thought was a stick and it turned out to be s submerged branch, but dammit, her ‘stick’ was not gonna make a fool out of her she managed to get it loose and bring it to the shore. Then collapsed in exhaustion. SHe WANTED to do it. Had thrown the same stick in the water five times earlier. She loved everyone I WISH she had someday died in her sleep. We had to decide, when she stopped being able to stand, and her heart was failing. I HATE THAT!

Her companion and current dog is 6. Loved them all to death. Kids abused them all the time. they loved it. There is NO malice. Luann likely has seen worse with the dog none the wear. But GASP! We have some that NEED to point out the horror>

The point is that this dog loves Shannon, and it is a game. A tiring one perhaps, but she would not do it if she did not want to. ANS as so many have said before, it is an ‘effin’ comic strip.

That kid needs her picture on milk cartons.

You know I really think some people come out of the womb sour milk, sour grapes. Judgmental,and basically don’t like anything. This is a cute holiday Sunday strip, no even foible as they usually are. Human nature I guess (sigh).

Is it just me, or is Shannon starting to look older?

Most little kids are sweet (at least the ones I am around.) Why do we have to be subjected to such a mean, selfish kid? Shannon is not cute. She is not entertaining. She rarely shows any redemptive qualities. I would love to see her change, as many other characters have.

So, Shannon is also cruel to animals. Such people grow up, too….

Shannon just needs some time in “Time Out”. Say about 5 years, with time off for good behavior.

WOW. Way too many people over analyzing a comic strip. This world has gotten so far way from common sense. No wonder its not common anymore. SMH

Tell social media they’ll straighten this out.
