Pig should be just happy he’s in an office and not in the can.

It’s probably because of the @spam.com address.

The company employees are practicing good manners. It’s not polite to play with or upset your food.

Since this year will be Year of the Pig, it is likely Pig will get a raise, no matter where he works.

And one more thing, SPAM is MAPS spelled backwards, which is what Pig might need from Google to help him find a new job should he become unemployed.

The company’s name is Hormel, not Spam, which is just one of their trademarks. They do not object to the slang use of lower-case spam to mean unsolicited bulk email. Quoting http://articles.latimes.com/2003/jul/31/business/fi-spam31:

Hormel’s official position on “spam” as a word? The company does not object to the use of the “slang” term, its Web site said, but draws the line when it comes to trademarking that name.

Tell pig not to worry. I don’t think there’s any pork in Spam….or any real meat for that matter. Now, Soylent Green is a whole different animal.

They gave Pig a job translating the famous cookbook, To Serve SPAM. He won’t last long, though; turns out the only foreign language he knows is pig Latin.

Years ago (1985) there was a long strike at Hormel. A friend told me that, while working at a foodbank that had been set up to aid strikers & their families, she apologized to one striker because all the foodbank had was pasta & soups & vegetables. “That’s OK, most of us are vegetarians to one degree or another. Myself, I’m a vegan”, the striker replied.Draw your own conclusion!

Morning cuisine from a can.. 1.In large nonstick skillet, cook potatoes, onion and bell pepper in oil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, 5 minutes. Add SPAM® Classic; cook and stir 5 minutes longer. 2.In small bowl, combine egg product, basil, salt, black pepper and hot sauce; blend well. Pour over mixture in skillet; cover.

    Do y’all know about https://spamgourmet.com ?

I’ve had an account there for ages. Some websites refuse to allow me to use that email. Some of those sites obviously wanted to send near-spam. One, I asked tech support why. She (and I could hear her eyes rolling through the email interface) explained that it was because they had a bit of code that rejected bad email names and “spam” was in its list.

Fried Spam sandwich with mustard and cheddar cheese. A staple in our Texas family for decades! Gotta be sliced thin, and fried crispy on the edges. Also good with fried or scrambled eggs and toast. Yum!!

Here’s the company’s pitch: “here at SPAM, we make Super Perfect Amazing Meat.” Of course, no meat’s amazing, so their emails really are spam.
