Gunther is now all — as the owl from “Bambi” called it — twitterpated.

Technically she said she was his “G-friend”, so I am glad Gunther has the nerve to find out that this meant “girlfriend” and not “ghoulfriend” or “glompfriend” or “geasfriend” or “grokfriend” or “geekfriend.”

Danger Will Robinson! The longer a Gunther arc lasts, the greater the odds that G&K will have him screw everything up!

He’s getting farther than I ever could have the nerve to get.

Well, the arc continues. Two things are pretty much sure thing today and the rest of the week:

1) “Folks” will criticize Gun for being a wimp, today.

2) Les is SURE to show up before long and interrupt. And be a general pain in the arse for the rest of Bets’ stay at the Gulag.

Oh and Gunth’s “Bat” just flipped, right side up.

There is a VERY slim possibility that there may be SOME romance taking place between these two before trouble rears its ugly head. SLIM, mind you.

Either Gunther is prepared for Les this time around, (which I doubt). Or he’s become so distracted by Bets that he’s completely forgotten about Les. Not GOOD.

I keep predicting the next right thnng with this arc, and I said I would love for Bets to come out of Gunther’s bedroom in the morning, or be at the kitchen, with the lingerie she got from Luann on, under a Star Trek robe with a sweet smile, and Les sees a manly smile of triumph on Gunthers’ newly male face, and…The strip would EXPLODE!! I hope for some version of that. Les is going to come, but after not before please. Bets is super hot, and so is Gunther. And. and…? Remember these are adults people.

Cold baths needed, Gunther. None of that mushy stuff here.

And if it wasn’t for Luann playing around with Gunther’s phone, they would never have met.

Hmmm, looks like Gunther’s puberty & virginity are both racing for the front door!!! And this time, it’s money in the bank!!!

As stated before, it would great to see some action in this comic strip. But we all know from previous attempts at any form of “intimacy” it always gets interrupted. It won’t be by Tiff, she already left. It will probably be by Luann, Les(god i hope not), or gun’s mom. Sidebar i find it interesting that the batman logo is back to it’s original position.

I don’t know about you guys, but I am WAY PASSED Gunther’s pathetic behavior towards females and intimacy. We know he is a virgin, but these reactions are off-putting..

I tend to think we will have the perfect storm where

1. Les arrives home unexpectedly just as Gunther and Bets are exploring kissing on whatever furniture is currently in the Gulag living room. This will cause Bets to be annoyed, Gunther will lose whatever libido he may have, and Gunther will start to get grumpy.

2. And…. Gunther’s phone will ring simultaneously…. and Gunther will exhibit his Pavlovian response to the damn phone by picking it up and texting or talking on it while still grumpy at Les.

3. Luann will bop on over for a few minutes to “chill” with her buddy, G-man. She will knock on the door while Gunther is fuming at Les and talking on the phone.

4. Irma and Al will be be coming in through the back way (into the kitchen) to bring “the boys” some left over pot-roast, meatloaf, and turkey tettrazini casserole that they had been saving for the last few days.

and then…

5. Tiffany will have turned her car around and driven back to the Gulag because she forgot something (phone, or some thing or other)… walks in on the melee that is ensuing…… looks startled…..

And then Irma and Al will decide it is the perfect opportunity to have a “Gulag Pot Luck” with all of G-man’s friends.

Just because they’re boyfriend and girlfriend does not automatically imply there will be something physical going on. Greg is just showing the emotional part of surprise on Gunthers part. It is the first time this sort of thing has happened for Gunther. The commitment, what does a relationship like this mean, all the excitement, doubts and worries.

Whatever else happens, she straightened out is Batman T-shirt logo.

Bets sure is tan.

There’s a first time for everything

One more possibility…They just had a “define the relationship” moment, maybe next they will have a “define the rules” moment. (Much like the “pool rules” discussion Luann and Quill had in a costume/prop room way back when.) In the ensuing discussion Gunther will disclose his inexperience and put to rest all speculation regarding what exactly happened in Peru (no “little Guntero” exists) as well as the Tiffany’s dorm room episode.

Enter Les and spoil the moment in 3, 2, 1…

You know…this guy is unique among college age males. In fact…his character is not really believable. Sorry…but he’s much too timid by even high school standards.

This is so sweet. I think Gunther is about to have his first true intimate experience. I hope it turns out to be all he could hope for. Bets seems to like all that she is hearing!

I hope Bets has a condom. Gunther would not possess one.

Why use a dummy when you have me?

There’s a term which applies here. Too good to be true. Remember the big fake shark in Jaws? That ones name is Les. He’ll be diving in soon for the kill. To lower the temp back down below zero.

There is nothing that a man would rather do after seeing Justice League than to photograph his gf wearing lingerie.

Awwww, she’s thinking, “You’re so sweet…” One peck on the cheek and he’ll faint right there on the spot. You’re mine forever in my clutches. You’ll never escape my magic.

Despite what folks say about Gunther’s awkward shyness, consider that he is the one initiating the possibility of getting intimate. If he was that shy, he would not have been so suggestive and so soon after Tiff left.

Hmmm.. Let me see – Gun lived with Rosa in Peru for months, so he may (or may not) still be a virgin. In any case, I suspect that just about the time he’s about to lay one on her (or she on him) his blinkety-blasted phone will ring, and of course, because he’s Pavlov’s dog, he’ll pick it up. And if Bets is smart, she’ll throw the flipping thing across the room!!! Or Les will come home, which is also a possibility. But this is a family strip, sort of, so I don’t see anything too wild happening. I don’t think we even saw Brad and Toni getting down to business until after they were married. Speaking of which, what’s happening with them these days?

Or, as in films of old, we might just see a shot of a trail entering a tunnel.

However, I do not think Gun and Bets are going to have sex tonight. But some passionate kissing and touching might happen. Off stage or in a dark panel, of course.

It’s because your creator, Greg Evans, has you by the balls … he’s emasculated you as a character that’s completely asexual … or gay, at best. Even you don’t believe you’re real anymore.

Jeepers! Squeaky Gunny is all batty today, I admit, but his bestie Bets is still wearing Wonder Woman. So it goes.

Ooohhh….. It’s Gunther’s first time. We’ve all been there.

If Les gets in and acts up – I think Bets can put Les in his place and Les will retreat to his room.

I still think that they shouldn’t be sharing benefits this early in their relationship; I’ve already stated that said benefits need to wait until after a wedding. But if they do, it would be the stupidest thing in the world for them to do it there, where both of them just have to know Les is about to walk through that door.

Last, and certainly least, I am very disappointed that G&K decided to continue this arc this week. At the very least, the two needed some privacy.

A three-way anything with Les, Bets, and Gun would be the exact opposite of hilarity ensues™!
