I get the feeling that Dez is so in touch with nature that she couldn’t litter even if she wanted to.

It’s “Ditzy Dez” again. Doesn’t she know how annoying and out of touch with reality she is????

Ah.

But Dez. Earth HAS “changed” many times over the course of several billion years according to numerous scientists. “Continental Drift,” comes to mind. And Humanity had little to do with it.

The most intriguing theory I’ve heard lately, was by one scholar who calculated that Our Solar System was on the other side of our galaxy when dinosaurs roamed the Earth.

Now let’s hope the “wrong” person doesn’t fish that note of the recycle bin, saw where it came from, and get the wrong idea. :)

You were littering, Dez. That’s Mother Nature’s message to you when she blew it into the recycle can. A better message to Mother Nature would be drawing in the soil a Valentine message. She will see it and send back some flowers in the breeze.

As Peggy Lee sang, “Is that all there is?” Or, will that note take on a life of it’s own?

The Earth is in constant change. Her wish is unrealistic.

If it had landed on the ground, it would have been littering, genius.

Knowing Dez, she may have been using biodegradable paper. Considering how she feels about the planet, I doubt she could be so careless. Then again, I could be wrong.

Dez to me is a lady out of her time. Her place should have been with the 60s era long haired hippy-dippy types. That era is long gone but apparently “Ditzy Dez” didn’t get the memo.

For Dez’ attempt to litter, Mother Nature needs to reply to Dez in the form of a swarm of mad hornets going in the open window.

A college student worships dirt… not surprising… I’m sure some government agency can use her to push welfare or regulations.

Beautiful, after Pru we see again Dez. The girl with a heart of gold and a great wisdom♡. I love her. Seeing Bernice in an arc involving Valentine’s Day raises my hopes for Piro’s return.

Less annoying than most of the characters here?

I really don’t like this character. Also… Um, Dez, that’s littering, hun. Happy coincidence it landed where it should have landed, but you weren’t aiming for the recycling can, so in effect, you were sending a Valentine to the Earth by throwing garbage on her. Makes sense … :-/

Well… Luann asked for a change of metaphor yesterday. Looks like Greg obliged with a mash up of Earth Day and St. Valentine’s Day.

Odd.

The majority of Americans think the scientist have a liberal agenda and that people have No effect on global warming. Despite the fact that the earth warming in the last 70 years, took 70,000 years in the previous earth warming cycles.

I wonder who it could be for?

My first thought was “Mother Earth loving Hippie Chick litters?” This seems out of character, even for a character who’s way out !

I for one like Dez and also like that there are earth mother types around. Anyone watch the view for example? I offer Whoopie Goldberg as exhibit number 1. Anyway this panel makes me believe this is a Valentine’s arc, with subarcs to sustain the overall story. Luann is such a hopeless romantic, with unsuccessful romantic relationships, I am hoping this leads to success finally!! Probably not though.

“Earth never change”?

Really? The climate and planet have been changing NATURALLY since the dawn of time. Ice ages, natural sea level and temperature variation accross wide ranges for eons.

Only arrogant persons can have the hubris to claim they can control such natural change and seek to restrain it with a carbon tax! Ha!

(Of course, all they really want to control are their fellow humans, for their own gain in power and money…there’s a sucker born every minute).

Good idea Dez! I think I will send Valentines to Earth, Wind and Fire!

“We love you as you are.. please don’t change”? She likes how Earth is warming, arctic ice is melting, species are dying off, record heat everywhere, states are burning up, etc..? Hm.

Dez has good aim. Perhaps the bosom of the earth lies in recycling and reusing all we can!

I like Dez. She accepts everyone as they are, and doesn’t backstab anyone, like some in this strip I could name.

Good thing. Otherwise she’d be littering to tell the Earth how much she cares. Liberals in a nutshell. Flying in on their private jets, taking their motorcades to an event, and giving a speech on saving the planet!

The only way not to change would be to freeze solid.

I’m an “elderly” man. Wondering if my color choices reflect a disconnect with the millennial palette. And speak up: I’m deaf on one side and wear a hearing aid on the other.

Gee, I was expecting her to get in trouble for littering.

I have notice that most naturalist like Dez tend to be like artist in that they can do things because of their “great” abilities to understand the environment. While the rest of societyshould kowtow to their superior abilities.

I kinda feel bad for the people predicting yesterday that the arc would result in a big change to Luann’s love life. Turns out Greg decided to just move on to other characters.

Actually, the Love Note to Mother Earth should read:

“We Promise to clean up our Mess and keep out rooms clean and stop Littering from now on”.

Well… No one can accuse her of being a litterbug.

Ah: another environmentalist that doesn’t understand the Earth’s natural cycles – cycles of constant change.

So…she’s trying to litter the ground to save the earth? Good thing the recycle bin got in the way!

Good shot Dez. Otherwise you would be contributing to littering. Fixing the climate will benefit us and the life adapted to it.
