Deception is a skill that Gunther has not learned. It is an unfamiliar experience for Gunther who has been an open book. Tiffany doesn’t deserve a friend like Gunther. Tiffany needs to abandons this web she is weaving.

Gunther owes Tiffany NOTHING. And this would be a good time for Gunther ask himself “What has Tiffany done for ME lately,” not to mention remembering Tiff’s role in spreading that Gossip about Him and Bets.

BUT. If Gunther MUST “Lie” on Tiffany’s behalf, he just tell Bernice he stepped out for a Smoke.

    Oh, WAIT……,

I will say one thing, very few boring comments (lol). My comment is not about the guile or lack of guile of either character here, that is obvious, rather again we need to see what happens next with either the intervention of Bets or Bernice, or both, or someone else not known, then maybe the arc will resolve itself. Both Bets and Bernice would spot something wrong here, with Bernice outing Tiffany while putting an embarrassing stake in the blacklit/out party, but I think Bets would want to help Tiffany, at least with her econ class (need book though). But Greg, that scamp, always has a twist or turn over yonder so lets see. Man so damn addicted to my girl’s comic. -:)

Bernice is not all that big a deal. I would have told her off a long time ago. RA or not. belive me the school would not kick me out over this. “I WANTED TO DO SOMETHING ELSE OTHER THAN WHAT THE RA THOUGHT I SHOULD BE DOING”, “So this is why she reported you?” "yes she is constantly overstepping her authority and is frankly a pain. " It is the evening and I am free for once and need a break. I have been trying to work on econmics, which I am struggling with, and have been at it since my last test. I had to move since then too. ben a bit of a challenge, and I work part time as well. So I needed one evening to do *what I wnat to do and as usual Bernice gets in my business." Admin: “We’ll look into it. Perhaps you should look for a tutor to help with your class, but you are free to attend a social gathering, although we reserve the right to check it out, under our authority.”

I don’t follow this strip as often as I used to, but I see that it is still about college students who behave like 13-year-olds. Why do the creators think that premise is amusing?

The hall encounter seems to display a personal dynamic between Gunther and Tiffany so very similar to the post field trip encounter. It’s interesting that Greg selected Gunther for this encounter instead of another character; say Bernice or even Bets. I get the feeling that this hall meet will be the prelude to a new arc; one either involving Gunther, Tiffany and Bets or Tiffany and her new Hall-A denizens.

It appears as if Gunther has forgiven or, at least overlooked, Tiffany’s secondary participation in Luann’s prurient interest in Gunther’s sex life. Speaking of which, Greg has repeatedly indicated in interviews that any sexual behavior among the principles would only be broadly hinted at. Given Gunther’s non denial in his Luann encounter and given Irma’s “be safe” admonition and another non denial by Gunther and finally Bets’ possessive sitting on Gunther’s lap in the current Study Ball, how many more broad hints does Greg have to give?

I suppose we must consider that Gunther has indeed become “Gun” as Bets would have it.

Gee whiz Tiff, if you’re gonna lie, stop jabbering with Gunth and make a hasty getaway, “Gotta run Gunth, remember, mum’s the word!” The more you hang around, the more likely it is that a) Bernice or Bets will stick their heads out the door b) Gunth starts to think and then your story falls apart.

Here’s where simple logic comes in. a) Tiff was never close with Bern in high school, so they didn’t have a longtime friendship b) Even in college, when Bern and Tiff got along better, they had different social circles c) As a result, they’re not joined at the hip. There would be plenty of parties/shindigs/get-togethers that Tiff knows about that Bernice wouldn’t be invited to and vice versa d) Bernice wouldn’t even care if Tiff’s friends (not her own friends) didn’t invite her to a party. She wouldn’t even know them.

So, exactly who could possibly throw a party, invite Tiff, not invite Bern and Bern would be busted up if she found out??? Luann? LOL.

There is two types of people who attend university: (1) social networking and (2) study hard and get low-end job with overtime.Kip and Stefanie are social networks. Bernice & Gunther will get low-end jobs and probably become Whistleblowers. Tiffany is trapped between these worlds.

My guess is that Tiff is not going to be happy after she shows up to the party. Stef will likely get competitive and cut her down. This may carry the benefit of driving Tiff back to study.

I feel like Gunther is put in a really awkward situation here. He JUST mentioned that Bernice has been his friend since the 3rd grade, and now he is being asked to be dishonest to her. Tiffany is probably hoping her old power over Gunther will help in this situation, but now that Gunther is with Betts I am not so sure this will be the case. Either way, this is going to get very interesting.

Again, this time Tiffany should just give up on THIS party and go to Study Ball instead….. the party will just end in a ruckus of one sort or another…. either Stefani will have a fit, or Kip will do something to make Stef’s & Tiff’s relationship harder to deal with…. or Bernice will discover the clandestine party. Tiff should party, but at another venue at another time.
